hoops rumors posted on their facebook that Charlie Villanavirus is likely bought out by the end of the week.

I'm surprised they'd even bother.

SO where do the other buy outs end up?

Granger to Miami - as he seems pissed at Indiana.

Metta World Peace?

If we buyout CV, I'd hope we did it to bring in somebody for a look-see.
Weaver = Hinkie
VW to Portland

We should sign Metta and Stephen Jackson!

I don't think we should go experience at all. I personally think we should add a young guy. Even Daniel Orton makes more sense to me. But I'm guessing Dumars/Gores won't bring anyone that won't "improve" the depth. See some random vet who they wind up talking up. Ronnie Brewers Utah numbers, this guys height, how great this guy was in college...that kind of crap.

cv can actually help a contender. put him in a winning locker room and let him know his role and his shooting will help.

^^ If CV's shooting was half way decent, he should have helped us.

Fire Joe. If we held onto this guy without amnestying him or taking advantage of his expiring JUST to buy him out? Livid.

If Joe is gone there won't be any ego reason for hanging on to his decisions... unfortunately we could be stuck with the sequel of CV DNPs.
Jennings might be ok as a 10 minute backup... I think Smith would be effective as a backup 3/4.... if you can get an expiring back, that's even better.
Salary will have to be slashed... even if it means no new FA signings this summer.

I just looked up CV's shooting stats to see if a contender would actually want him or not, and the last 3 seasons he's shooting 30.7% 3FG, avg 3.4 attempts per game in 12 mpg. That's 10 per game per36 lol

What contender wouldn't love to have 10 three's per game from CV added on right before their playoff run starts? lol'

I'd be surprised if CV ever got more than the vet's min from here onward.

I'm sure he'll whine about how the Pistons ruined his career... he was never good with the Bucks... his scoring got him some consideration but the defensive red flags were there... Joe took the new "no touch" rule to extremes and completely ignored defense (which in itself is amazing considering the teams he won ships with).

We need to buy CV out just to clear a roster spot. There's some decent shooters becoming available that could be had for super cheap (Jimmer/Granger). It might be advantageous if we can pick up some shooters now for the minimum and have less needs to fill this summer.

Granger/Jimmer reportedly want PT more than just going to a contender.

While we don't have any room at PG for Jimmer, we have lots of room at SG, and can always play our current PGs off the ball, as well as play Jimmer off the ball. Granger can play some SF too.

In terms of winning, we have nothing to attract them this year, but in terms of PT and lots of open shots (being #1 in PIP) we could be an attractive destination for shooters, if all they want to do is get minutes and put up a lot of 3s ( which is basically every shooters dream)
