My first thought when I saw SJB's size was Richard Sherman. Those physical stats are very impressive and it's good to hear people who have followed him like him a lot. Our last former WR to CB conversion worked well (Shields).

If my memory is correct, we traded up from 59 to 51 with Philly after either Seattle or New England had picked at 47 or 48. It wasn't a trade up as Philly was on the clock at 51. One of the Packer writers mentioned after the draft that Ted saw the pickings getting really slim at DL and that when he traded up, he knew that at least one of Kendall Reyes or Worthy would be there at 51. Well, San Diego ended up taking Reyes at 49 and the Rams took Pead at 50, it left Worthy for Ted.

Then when Ted did his after draft press conference, i recall him being asked if he preferred Reyes and if he'd have gone that way instead if San Diego hadn't taken Reyes at 49, but obviously Ted wasn't going to touch that question even if he did prefer Reyes over Worthy.

Interesting, thanks for that. I remember the Reyes talk but didn't remember that we thought he might be there when we moved up.

I'm inclined to think the Packers are looking at bigger corners like Baptiste and McGill who possess the size and speed to stay with the NFC's arsenal of WR's like Jeffrey, Marshall, and Johnson. Those are big time WR's. The beautiful thing about Desir, McGill, and Baptiste is all 3 could be nabbed somewhere in the 2nd-4th rounds.

The other prospect who really really showed today - potentially moving himself into the 4th/5th round for consideration:

Phillip Gaines. Another 6'0" or so CB . Ran a 4.38. Great broad jump. Good vert. Fluid. A great developmental guy to coach up at the NFL level. Keep an eye on him after a fantastic combine.

I liked McGill & Baptiste since early Feb
I took Baptiste in my mock in draft thread

There just isn't any possible way you can prove this unless you somehow have access to TT's draft board.

drafted due to need - Anyone that is perceived as a bust -

Well if they weren't "for need" - then they were TT's idea of BPA.
