This guy just can't stay healthy right now. I guess we can forget about the other thread
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Is it his wrist and his hip again? The could be difficult. If Crawford starts during this time and gets acclimated, it could upset team chemistry to put Redick back in the starting line up. Kinda reminds of last season with Green starting and then Billups coming back, except that Crawford and Redick are much better than Green and Billups, but this concept is still the same

let's see what bullock can do with some damn playing time.

and i hope JJ comes back at least a week or two before the playoffs, so he can get re-aquainted with the starters and his rust off.

This is not good. A bulging disc in his back could impact him all season.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

jesus christ, just as we get into this brutal stretch that's gonna define our seeding. With yesterday's loss, we better win at least 3 out of the 4 upcoming MEM, OKC, HOU and GSW games or we're gonna have a terrible path in the playoffs again.

Good thing is, with the way JJ plays, you could probably plug him on the team at any time and he'll fit like he was never out.

I just hope this isnt going to have a lingering effect on JJ. We definitely are going to need him in the playoffs when the pace slows down.

Now Crawford going down I feared at his age this would catch him eventually. He deserves the rest.

Jesus! Markazi saying that the team has no clue about Redick. It's possible he doesn't return at all.

i figured that was the case here. mild herniated disk means little, a moderate herniation will sideline most people for 6 weeks to return to physical activities. the fact that he was deemed out indefinitely, i knew it had to be a severe kind. they will do everything they can to rehab first, as a surgical means are the very last resort for herniated disk. i would love to see JJ back soon, but i doubt that will be the case. as of CP3's shoulder, it can be a problem down the road with a rehab alone. but surgery doesn't always work well either.

i say after granger we will still have 1 more roster spot, and we should use it for ben gordon.

Clippers have 'growing concern' on JJ Redick

There is reportedly "growing concern" within the Clippers about the status of J.J. Redick (back).
Redick has been out since Feb. 3 with a bulging disc in his back and remains "out indefinitely." The Clippers' concern suggests a serious injury that isn't healing with rest. It's also worth noting that they added Danny Granger who can soak up minutes behind Jamal Crawford (calf, day-to-day). Redick is not a hold in fantasy formats.

"The Bulging Disc and You"

Post#18 » by Ranma » Mon Mar 3, 2014 6:34 am

Even with the upgraded roster spots from the high-profile buyout signings, the consensus seems to be that the most important addition to this team for the playoffs will be J.J. Redick. As such, his recuperation from the bulging disc in his back is of primary concern to all of us.

I just came across the following article and videos on ClipsNation.com and call upon our resident medical school graduate, Neddy, to enlighten us with his thoughts on the validity of the information presented as well as how worried we should be with J.J.'s recovery.

shap, ClipsNation.com (3/2/14)
Like the video says, some disc bulging is normal especially with the general wear and tear of aging, often we have it without even knowing it. Back pain is one of the most common complaints in hospitals. Redick has already had some history with back pain, so the Clippers are wise in treating him with patience. We've heard Redick refer to this process as "maddening" and Doc talking about how they need to wait for the disc to "calm down." Well hopefully this helps understand what kind of process this is, and that is truly a day-to-day and week-to-week sort of thing. After looking into it some, I can definitely see Redick coming back from this injury as the fact that the Clippers are treating it with physical therapy probably means the MRI revealed a bulge that wasn't as threatening as it could be, but it all depends on how these exercises help reduce the bulge and hopefully that the bulge doesn't increase.

A look into what ails J.J. Redick

Keep waiting each day for some kind of confirmation on his status whether good or bad.

Simmons said in his podcast today that people well connected regarding the issue are worried that it is a "game 3 of the WCF or next season" type return scenario
