Having him be the main PG, it isn't surprising that the Suns got blown out. Barbosa would have helped a bit, I assume, what with Dragic and Bledsoe both being out.

It's painful to think of what this team could be doing if Dragic and Bledsoe had zero injuries. It's hard to say for certain, but I'm pretty sure they'd be a top 4 seed. Dragic has done his best, but Bledsoe is sorely missed (and Dragic being out as well certainly doesn't help anything).

I didn't know you are in a band, what do you play?

I just joined my friend's band after their other guitar player left. It's fast heavy crusty hardcore. I'm a better bass player than guitarist but I can hold my own on guitar.

Nice, I just joined a band here in Minny. It's pretty easy going, so no stress. I've decked out their band space with a full PA. I play drums mainly, and have done so for 24 years. I play a little guitar and bass, but nothing to brag about. I've mainly collected over the years, and have a pretty decent collection.

Unfortunately, most of my equipment I had to sell. Moved around the country a few times. Only have my Gibson SG guitar and fender p bass right now. And a Sunn bass head that needs repairing. Just borrowing amps and cabs for the time being. Need a decent job so I can get more equipment again.

That's it? If he reaches his potential......He'd be way greater than Holiday.

Holliday was more advanced at the same age. I don't see how his potential is automatically "way greater".

Agreed. we're so quick to poo-poo players on other teams. Goodwin and the Suns would be fortunate to be as good as Jrue Holiday.

What do these three players have in common with Plumlee:

Erick Dampier
Kwame Brown
Steven Hunter

Always had trouble catching the ball.

I hope he gets out of his funk soon and starts producing results to what we've seen before. Just play a solid all around game doing the small things and the rest will take care of itself.

Bummer, I hope you find something soon. I've kept many items over the years. I've had many of my drum stuff for 18 years or so. I have an SG, but mine is the faded model that ran a bit cheaper. I do have a nice LP that is quite costly. Most of my equiptment is of the lower end except for a few items, and my drums. Although, it's pretty crazy how cheap some stuff are. I check out Craigslist a lot, and get some amazing deals. And when I lived in Tucson, I got some incredible deals at garage and yard sales. I got a Martin 12 string, and a Guild A50 for $90 and a cheap Ibanez acoustic.

Yeah, my bandmate just sent me a link for a Marshall 4x12 cab someone is selling for $100, which is a GREAT deal. Unfortunately, with rent due tomorrow for my apartment and the practice space, that's about $100 more than I have, at the moment.

It will come around. Just keep your eyes open. I just got a Yamaha GEP50 effects rack for $15.

how is that working out for you? Don't think I've ever used Yamaha guitar effects before- just Line6, Digitech and Boss as far as multi-effect pedalboards go.

Funny you mention a martin 12 string, I bought one new for around 700$, only to see one of the same make at a garage sale a month later for 250$ I think it was  It had a few nicks and scrapes, the polish was faded but it played it nicer (better tension) and sounded a bit more crisp, too. I ended up selling it because I needed the money $$ and while 12 strings are nice they are limiting musically.,.at the time I was trying to be a semi-professional jazz guitarist (or so I would like to think), so there wasn't much need for the one of those.

I actually bought it to use on the vocals. Right now I am using the vocal reverb, but I set it up to use its Pitch B, which provides two background vocals when used. Right after I got it, I went and bought a stomp switch to be able to activate that effect, only to find out that I had a Yamaha sustain pedal that works much better.

You should have bought that other Martin, even if you ended up flipping it. :D

What guitars do you have now? Recently I bought a crappy Austin strat for $10, and I took it apart, cut the horns down, and messed with the finish. I also put a humbucker in the bridge, but left it at an angle. I also cut the headstock to look more like a Tele. I still want to find a better neck, tuners, and a bunch more. But since I joined the band, I just haven't put any effort into the guitar. Right now, I'm building better speaker wires, and creating stuff for the band, like sound proofing pads for the practice space.

sounds like a lot of fun! Wish I knew more about gear and how to tweak instruments/woodworking/wiring. Would save me a lot of money from having to go to luthiers. My skills in that department pretty much halts at being able to replace the strings. A few years ago I bought a second hand squier strat for 50$, and had a luthier put in a hexaphonic pickup, to turn the guitar into a midi controller. What advantages is their to leaving humbuckers at an angle?

as for the other guitars I have:

Gibson Les Paul Classic
Gretsch G6118 Hollowbody
Godin 5th Avenue Hollowbody
Ibanez RG550
a standard fender stratocaster

Takamine acoustic
Epiphone hummingbird

and a Yamaha nylon string, which I haven't used in a very, very long time
