Coming off of a thrilling triple overtime victory against the Toronto Raptors, representing the most powerful city in the world, YOUR Washington Wizards look to add to their five-game winning streak against the struggling Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers have lost 14 in a row.

Philly is led by F Thaddeus Young and PG Michael Carter Williams. A trade deadline move brought popular G Eric Maynor in to bolster the bench.

Entering their third game without injured PF Nene Hilario, the Wizards continue to get all-star quality work from PG John Wall. C Marcin Gortat has logged six straight double-doubles and recent acquisition PG Andre Miller has brought a calming, organizing influence to the second unit.

The Wizards are on a bit of a roll. Thursday night's win was gratifying -- particularly given the nature of our RealGM board visitors from Canada in the run-up to the game. But Saturday is a new day. And the Wizards have a habit of playing down to their opponent. Will Wall and the guys stay serious, put in work, and impose their will on this game?

Post your thoughts and comments below.

Philly has completely given up. Man, their team is awful, and it just got worse when they traded away Hawes.

I just hope we don't take them lightly. Pay attention to the scouting report and take away the few things that they do well. Let MCW shoot long 2's and don't let him into the lane. Stomp on their throats early so you don't give them a chance to even believe that they can win.

Just like in the Magic game, I think we will benefit from being short handed because everyone will be more focused. I hope Seraphin comes back soon though. I don't know how long Gortat can last playing 40 minutes a night.

If I was the NBA commissioner I'd find a way to severely penalize the 76ers organization. There is tanking, then there is blatant disregard for the welfare of the league. If they did this for another year I’d start the preceding’s to contract their organization and I’d push hard. It’s embarrassing how little they care. Silver should ensure they get the WORST possible selection in the lottery this year. Make them suffer. The NBA needs to completely obliterate the current lottery system solely based on the 76ers.

This is the ultimate let down/trap game. Team is exhausted, playing on the road against the worse team in the league, in front of a small crowd.

thats my biggest fear. Its so 50/50. One second we are dead tired and just won a huge game against the Raps while on the other hand Philly is in full tank mode. If we didnt go triple OT then this would be a near automatic win but Im scared of someone like Wall just looking dead and the whole team moving in slow motion.

This game comes down to Witt. Is his finger on the pulse. It might be a Miller, Al, etc... type of game. Good guys who didnt play as much as everyone else last game

However, there is no way in hell that Philly wins if Wall has energy and is still attacking the hoop.

Witt canceled practice today, so hopefully they get some rest.

Who is looking forward to seeing the first time in the game when Andre Miller and Eric Maynor are going against each other?

(I mean besides Wizardry)

EDITED TO ADD:

If Otto Porter doesn't get some run in this game, something is really amiss.

As of now, if the ping pong balls went the way they are, they would have the 2nd and 11th pick in the draft. Because they have two lottery picks, it increases their chances at getting the top pick. They also have the 32nd, 45th and 56th pick. The 32nd pick is basically a first rounder, so while the tank is strong, they are trying to get better. They've got a ton of picks and cap room over the next two years.

What happens if this occurs (also best case scenerio for Wizards):

1) LAL (they are tanking strong, and they could pass Orlando for 3rd worst record)-Embiied
2) Sac (only 2 games out from Orlando)-Wiggins
3) Mil-Parker
4) Philly-Randle
5) Orlando-Exum

Don't be ridiculous.

There have been horrible teams in the NBA as far back as I can remember, and it's done nothing to affect the welfware of the league.

The 76ers are doing what's best for their organization longterm and given the rules under which they operate, their approach is sensible, and gives them the best chance to turn their fortunes around for the future.

Neither Turner nor Hawes were part of their future, so why have them stick around when you get some assets, no matter how questionable their value, in return?

The real losers in this are the fans and more importantly the season ticket holders of the 76ers that have to endure this farce of basketball season.

Should be a win. Even using the Nenê off-court numbers, I estimate Wizards at about a 57% chance of winning. Using their full-season numbers, it's a 63% chance. Using their February numbers, it'd be a 69% chance.

Plus, the Sixers are tanking. And they're going to play Maynor. That's probably worth another 10% right there.

What G-town fan thought Henry Simms and Hollis Thompson would get starting gigs while Otto Porter can't get off the bench? It's a shame Arnett Moultrie apparently doesn't seem to care, because he has the talent to start in the NBA.

One of the last things John said during last nights post-game interview: "We have to beat the 76ers. We have to go and beat them."

John is starting to treat every game as a must win.

I'm not worried.

That's why it's bad for the league. There is just something fundamentally wrong with a team that refuses to compete. They're sending the message to their players that losing is good and it's better not to compete. They might as well forfeit their games. They should give a refund to every fan who bought a ticket this year.

And honestly, I hope they don't prosper from this. I hope they get trapped in the cellar, shuffling their talent over and over again, burning through coaches, and watching young players go on to thrive for other teams.

You shouldn't be able to build a winner on the foundation of being blatantly anti-competitive in a fiercely competitive sport. And I'm not sure you actually can.

I disagree. I think true fans appreciate the rebuild. The appreciate not rooting for a FO that went "all in" on the Bynum trade.

Next year, they'll see MCW, and 3 lotto picks in Noel, a top 5 pick, and a 10-14 pick.
