Sorry, but as a Thunder fan who also likes Lebatard, this is excellent. Made me smile.

As I was told.... If Riley really wanted Bulter he would be with Miami. Butler wanted things that Riley couldn't promise. If he really wanted him and thought he was that important, promises would be made and Riley would of got him.

Makes sense. Heat don't really need him. Butler can probably get playing time with the Thunder and compete for a championship. If he went to the Heat yes he might win a ring but it would be like Rashard Lewis' where he didn't really contribute just rode the bench.

Now this tells me that Pat & Mick have a lot of faith in that kid Liggins. I hope he lives up to expectations because we're going to need some help on the wing come playoff time if Wade is limping there again but at the same time Tim Grover is a gem. The way Wade has looked these past 3 games, WOW watch out league

Not to be a debbie downer, but I'd like to remind you that Wade looked like this around this time last year before being sat out for knee problems out of nowhere in the middle of that winning streak. I'm not going to be relieved about Wade until I see him producing at a high level late into May.

Also, I don't know, but I jus feel a little perturbed that we made no strides to get better during the trade deadline and buyout period while pretty much ALL of our main competitors, and the Clippers especially, added more firepower. I mean it's one thing to be confident, I just hope it's not airing on the side of arrogance.

Oh by all means i'm not being arrogant at all. I agree with you on the part where we made no strides to get better during the trade deadline & buyout period. I'm still questioning the front office decision on passing up on Andrew Bynum. I know he's not locker room friendly & lacks the passion for basketball but he could've made a huge difference on this team. Now he's with our #1 threat in this league (Indiana). Also the "washed up" comment about Butler, yeah i went too far with that but it's just the fact that when i first started following this team in 04 that he was one of my all-time fav Heat players and still remains so today. I can see him contributing big time for OKC if Scott Brooks uses him properly. I'm not banking on Wade's health at all but you forget that he didn't have Tim Grover with him at all last year. Whatever Tim is doing, it's showing up big time in these last 3 games

But there's no reason to sit around and keep moping over the past. It's time to move on and i have faith in this team & organization. I've never seen Liggins play so i can't wait to see what he provides for us and we have to continue to work Oden in the rotation

Cool. Yeah I hope we see what they see in Liggins soon. Maybe he'll turn out to be a better athletic defender on the wing than we realize.

I know, I wanted to hear another reason, I knew this reason. I wasn't excited about any of these buyouts until I heard about this one.

I think I took this a little hard , not mad, just feel rejected. I remember him saying some time ago he'd love to come back

Oh well....... Next

Did we have a chance to sign Butler before he went to Dallas and WE passed on him?

Can't remember

So glad he didn't come on the Heat.

No more old players.
