I guess Wittman heard me. Two consecutive post-ups by Beal. One of which was successful.

That was a pretty spin by Beal, I'd like to see him post up smaller guards more.

There aren't many of those.

It's pretty rare when a point guard is defending him. But he's becoming bigger and stronger. That to me is the key to his development getting tougher mentally and physically so he doesn't have to rely on his shot all the time. He really is a deceptively good athlete.

Ooh, bad call. Miller's block looked clean. C'mon ref, don't take his block away. When's the next time Miller's gonna be matched up vs. someone even less athletic than himself?

Maynor clowning the Wizards. (Okay, perhaps a bit overstated)

Ok. Let's get a good hard 3 minutes from Wall and Ariza. Then it's Porter time.

Beal has a long leash because he even though he's going through a shooting slump, he still makes the right play most of the time. There aren't many 20 year old shooting guards in this league that can run the two man game as well as he has with Gortat.

Addressed by what? Trading him? He's 20 and we have no true backup shooting guard. You can play Temple more at the 2, which would be my suggestion but he's not Ray Allen offensively.

I meant it needs to be addressed by the coaches. I haven't heard Wittman EVER make a comment about Beal's slumping play. I haven't seen the Wizards media talking about it. When Wall was struggling, we would constantly hear about how he can improve or certain things being brought to his attention that would help him improve.

Beal is our starting 2-guard, you would think the coaching staff would have some sort of plan in place for his development. Not saying they don't, but I haven't heard anything about it. It seems like he's given free reign to make the same mistakes game after game, with no sign of improvement.

I'm guessing that Wittman will leave Ariza in to try to get 40. But other than that, I want to see him start to pull the starters sooner rather than later.

I see your point but I think some guys can take getting yelled at or critique and others can't We don't know what Wit says behind closed doors at practice. I'd like to think he rests him a little more and doesn't go back to that 40+_ minute regimen. Unless he plays Tempe 10-15mpg. I think we're going to see an up-and-down Beal the rest of the year.

What improvement are you looking for exactly? Beal isn't going to develop Kyrie handles overnight. Any kind of marginal improvement you are looking for is going to come through experience.

^ Fair point 80s. I don't know if Wittman needs to criticize Beal in the media. However, I'm a little troubled at comments that indicate that he *wants* them shooting long 2s.

Beal should be benched for Webster. Seriously.

Okay, Ariza got 40, Wall got his career assists mark. Now empty the bench.
