Gooden has looked terrible especially on defense. His rotations are slow and he looks petrified to take a charge.
what is Chris Wilcox up to? He has ties to the local area. He also had a couple of years in Boston with Doc so his defense should be at least half way decent.

Kendall Marshall, 31 games for Lakers, shooting 45% from 3, avg 9 pts & 9 assts.
The 13th pick in 2012 draft, 22 yr old pg from Arlington VA. Ernie cut him he says because "we had a full roster already.”
Wow.
In fact, I'm going to change my sig to this...
He's also made a total of 3 shots out of 21 attempts in his last 5 games (110 minutes) totaling 7 points, so the league has likely caught up to him - maybe he adapts back, and maybe he doesn't. And by all accounts, he's played terrible defense. There are so many good reasons to criticize EG for - not keeping Marshall is among the smallest of his mistakes.

Re: Open Roster spot
I'm beginning to wonder if Jamison wouldn't actually of been a better pick up than Gooden. I'm surprised Ernie didn't make that move in fact, but probably didn't want to remind everyone of the whole gungate fiasco with the newly positive vibe of this Wizards team.
But Jamison was always a class act. And he's 5 years older than Gooden (37), but you know he's in better condition, and did at least play in 22 games this year. But he's always been a good rebounder, and his ability to hit some shots could help on nights like this when the offense is really struggling.
We'll see, Gooden is probably the better fit, the difference between the 2 is at most negligible. Woulda been kinda cool to see Jamison end his career as a Wizard on a playoff bound team.

I'm really glad we didn't pick up Jamison. He plays no defense at all.
But Gooden. Oh gawd. He's just turrrrible.

The Cavs have signed Arinze Onuaku to a 2nd 10-day and he hasn't really played yet, I wonder if they are going to keep him? 6"9 275 LBS.

The best thing about the Gooden signing is that it was only for 10 days. On the bad side, the same guy who decided to sign Gooden makes the decision on who to sign after the 10 days are up.
