Well it was a foul and that changed where the pass went. So they gave it to us.

Because he hasn't been able to stop Conley. They put Ariza on Conley instead.

Yes, and that is why I don't know why people call Wall an elite defensive player. He certainly CAN be an elite defensive player and has shown spurts of being one, particularly when the game is on the line. However, for the most part, he consistently allows his man to get past him, preferring to reach in from behind, and he free-lances and gambles way too much.

Good lord....did the ball even touch the net on Conley's last 4 free throws?

Stunning comeback. I was only half watching it when the 3 point barrage hit.

Man. If we only had a legit coach, I swear they would be 8-10 games better.

I disagree with "for the most part." I feel like he's giving good defensive effort more often than not these days. Today, unfortunately, is definitely a "not."

Makes it more maddening when you have coaches like George Karl and Avery Johnson sitting around.

Its amazing.

Some games if you read Beal line it looks like he had a good game.

Only he didn't.

If he/Randy.. whoever is in charge of the plays and shot selection.. would just stick to what he does well, he would be so efficient.

He should be shooting 3s or driving. Same with Wall.

Beal should not be trying to be Wade against a team like MEM. He isn't a SG/PG. He is a SG.

We were undermanned and at a coaching disadvantage. I'm surprised the game was this close.

I'm glad that Porter got legit minutes and gave 4Q production. That's good for his development.

Singleton can park his behind back on the bench.

He doesn't do this consistently.. this is probably one of his worst defensive games this year, effortwise. Normally he harasses ballhandlers and moves quickly on defense to cut off lanes, pick up charges, etc

Conley is considered an elite defender and he's getting lit up himself. It happens.

You guys are acting like Conley is a scrub. He's easily the 6th best PG in the league.

Freudian, because above the neck their coach is leaps and bounds better than Wittman.

He's better than Lionel Hollins? I can coach that team with Gasol, Randoph, Conley, Prince, Lee and Allen. Smart team. Doesn't need great coaching.

I hope and pray Mr Monumental recalls the numerous messages asking for Joerger to coach this team.

How is that going to help us ?

It would make him consider upgrading the coaching.

Well, we will have to agree to disagree. Watch him closely on the defensive end during games. There are many instances when he allows his man to get by him and he tries to reach in from behind. I think he gives good defensive effort when the game is on the line. I think he coasts the rest of the game.

Conley is really really good.

Wall and him both played great.

What I would have wanted is more Wall. He needed to break down MEM more on his own. You can't pass your way open with the way they play. You need to break them down, trap, and run.

They didn't do enough of that. And that is on RANDY.

He should used more Temple and Otto tonight. Run until you are tired and rotate in the next player.

And my God. Call a Time Out in a close game with the other team makes a run.

Please fire him already. We are going to get crushed in the playoff with him as HC.

Don't know whether I should be impressed that they came back and hung in against a really good team even though they were missing Nene, Webster, and Seraphin, or whether I should focus on Beal's extreme butt play, the fact that Porter is suddenly the best bench player, and the team still looks like a collection of talent (and I'm using that term loosely) rather that a team with a system. When they're hot, they're hot, but disciplined teams will pick them apart eventually. I guess it's better than if they hadn't fought their way back.

He's got a long way to go, but hopefully that late three will at least help Porter's confidence.

PS: I looked up Prince's game logs. That's the second highest total he's had in the last two years.
