If he injured his left ankle, I can see how it affects him so. He's very left leg dominant...the reason why he prefers to drive right and he has trouble finishing strong with his left hand. I definitely could tell he wasn't getting nearly as high on his layups and he was getting cut off on drives when he used to be able to blow by his first defender at will.

Ankle injuries are not to be messed with. Especially with the way he falls on the court so much. Maybe he's afraid that if he sits out that Canaan will play too well and take his spot in the rotation like Hamilton has with Garcia/Casspi.

Lin and Howard both did not practice on Monday, Mar 3. The word is back problems with both.

I'd rather see Lin sit a few games out now rather than let the injuries linger & get worse.

Problem is, though, his style of play will always lead to injury concerns.

Rest now, be ready for the Playoffs!

Good that explains the missed layups now just wondering about the turnovers

Well...looks like my suspicions were confirmed.

Lin AND Howard are both missing practice due to back issues.

So if Lin has both a back and ankle injury, it explains how horrible he's been lately.

As for his TOs...I mean let's face it...he's a risk/reward guy...but if he's hurt as bad as he seems to be then he's going to be more risk than reward.

I think that's also why his minutes have been limited...I'm sure the coaching staff knows he's hurting and trying to play through, but obviously, he's not putting in 40 minutes with a bad ankle and back.

Lin was averaging about 3.5 turnovers in Nov when he was totally healthy. High TO's will always be a part of his game. He even said he would't change his "High Risk High Reward".

Or maybe he's just a tough kid.

"One good thing about Jeremy is that he's a tough kid," said McHale. "He has always bounced back."

Kings coach Keith Smart found out early about Jeremy Lin's toughness. Smart coached the Rockets point guard as a rookie with the Golden State Warriors during the 2010-11 season.

Smart said that during one practice that season, as Lin drove to the basket, the guard drew contact and was "slammed to the floor," causing his shoulder to pop out.

"We tried to get him off the floor," Smart said. "He sat over there, popped it back in and got right back on the floor."

The Knicks and Raptors discussed a trade of Anthony Carter for Jeremy Lin.

New York was interested in bringing back Carter to bring stability to the point guard position.

“We knew one thing about him after bringing (Lin) in,” said Bryan Colangelo. “We knew he was one tough kid.
“He took one of the hardest hits I’ve ever seen on a court and one of the toughest falls. He got hit from behind, crashed to the floor, eventually got up. We didn’t think he’d get up, to be honest. And he shook it off and continued the workout.

“We were extremely impressed by that.”
