The effort was there last night, much more so than the prior game. Maybe the team responded to Shaw participating in the shoot-around with them. For over a decade we had enough talent to go out and beat anyone, for the rest of this season, certainly without Ty we don't.

I'm not concerned about winning/losing at this point in this particular season. As a fan, I'm looking for heart, dedication, hard work regardless of circumstance. Even though Shaw can't implement his full plan right now, I'm watching him to see if he gives up easily or fails to work on components now that will be plugged into next season's team. We don't need short sightedness.

Two things I noticed on this game. When was the last time an opposing team got 60+ free throws in a non-overtime game in the nba? Also, Timo only was out there for a few minutes despite starting and despite being a positive influence on the floor.

Beginning to think Shaw and Hickson have a little somethin' somethin' going on. The offense does seem to flow with Hickson in there, but just as easily the defense "flows" and gives up a bunch of points.

We've got to turn Mozgov into a beast these couple of months here and 4 min per game ain't gonna do it.

Moz-Vesely will give this team a strong Center foothold if only Shaw uses it.

You can say at this point Hickson was a bad idea because we got what we needed from Faried at much less cost and you could say what was spent on Hickson could have been spent on a more pressing need like a Corey Brewer or a 3-pt specialist.

Hickson is a bookmark in the story of the Nuggets and the page ain't turning.
