I feel like the past 4 pages have been just both sides saying the same thing over and over. If the message hasn't gotten through by this point, it ain't getting through. I think it's time to just let this thread die.

come on, tsherkin, my mini-ban isn't going to keep me away :P

Generally speaking, posters who get board-banned aren't very likely to come back because they usually continue their pointless behaviors, or choose not to appeal, but there have definitely been posters who have successfully appealed

Ah, if it was just a report, then it's long gone and I've no idea what happened. Someone else very likely got to it before I did.

I put ATTN: Tsherkin and they just deleted it w/o passing it along to you? I also didn't receive a response from a mod to discuss the PM. I mean, I did follow the proper procedure that you and other mods have outlined in this thread.

Look, I don't want to waste anyone's time for something that has lead nowhere thus far. I think Heat fans have proven their point. Take care.

Well.. I'd just advice my fellow HEAT fans to read the General Board Rules clearly...

Also, use our team forum to vent. At-least that's what I do. Don't forget that using the report icon is a much better way to deal with things on the GB. USE it and vent on our team forum if needed.

Mod bashing will not get you anywhere. Tsherkin's points are actually on spot. Eventually, they are also humans and prone to some mistakes at times. Not to mention the workload and the other responsibilities in the outside world.

I actually have no problem with people calling a player lazy unless that player posts here; insulting a player is not the same as insulting a fellow poster. The GB has gotten better gradually ever since baiting a fan base has been made an automatic ban and will continue to do so now that this has been brought to light - It's tough to lose the limelight when you identify so closely with a team - and one day those times will return. Teams don't stay on top forever

I concur with all the Heat fans who complain about the mods on General Board. They (actually, just one mod) are abusive to Heat fans, period. I am actually referencing one mod in particular, King Cuban.

I was warned by him for trying to get to the bottom of the Kobe/T-Mac thread where Kobe said he beat Tmac in europe in a 1v1. King Cuban said I "Baited laker fan base"..... yet I see this mod allowing crap said about LeBron and even joining in on Heat hatred threads all the time. But my merely posting in a thread about Kobe possibly lying about beating T-Mac in europe, because T-Mac denied it, oh, that was "baiting laker fan base"

talk about complete garbage. Heat fans get the shaft over in the GB and I don't care what you say, you are in denial if you don't want to believe it.

There is a reason why a huge portion of us Heat fans accuse King Cuban of this. Ignore us and call us crazy, but you're just being dismissive at this point.

I am just offering my perspective to give greater feedback and open a dialogue that generally wouldn't be on offer, but if you speak for the board, and if they don't want to discuss it further, then that's fine.

Oh please. Look at your avatar and signature GIF. They are quite indicative of the type of attitude you have. How you are still a moderator for the GB.... I have to give you props for knowing how to do your dirty work under the radar.

You come in this thread with manners, but act quite differently when the eyes aren't on you. Even your post content. I specifically remember you wishing injury on Heat players. I can't imagine how fast of a ban Heat fans would receive if we said that about Rose or Kobe.

guys, calling out a GB mod is never going to get you anywhere so I don't want this to be construed as backseat moderating, but what you say here will be used against you on the GB board

Your what-now?

Oh, yes, that's right. You somehow earned Strike One a while back, didn't you?

No, no it won't. Or shouldn't be, anyway. Posters should be treated in a manner indifferent to what goes on inside of the other boards. You might catch a warning here for saying something especially offensive, but none of this should carry over to the GB at all. If it does, then something is not right.

Most of us who have been mods for a long time have a reasonably thick skin. I've had posters e-stalk me on YouTube, I've earned essentially the undying enmity of the Charlotte and Detroit boards, the Knicks board had a thread set up just to bitch about me, a couple of the folks in here have been reasonably unpleasant to me at one time or another... and the same with KC and kyphi and... pick a mod who's been around a while, really. We don't really care, most of the time, except insofar as the infraction is concerned.

TL;DR, don't be a jerk and you'll generally be OK. If you have a specific concern, if there's a specific event worrying you? PM me. I'll look into it. Don't take things into your own hands. Nice and simple.

Anyway, this conversation is essentially played out and, but for a few late questions, has been for a while, so I think that I and KC and Howard and so forth will take our leave. Hopefully, the message is received by more than a few of you guys and as a result, those of you who still can enjoy an improved experience on the GB.

Cheers.
