Brooklyn's franchise is knee deep in crap from top to bottom. Billy King is not an NBA GM, I am amazed that he has kept his job for so long. Jason Kidd does not know how to coach, and recently re-assigned Lawrence Frank, which is puzzling. Pierce is out for a few weeks, KG is looking really old. I was thinking Brook Lopez would be the catalyst for this team, but he isn't.

Sign me up on the Parker wagon, but I still think Wiggins will be the better college player. Parker is off to a nice start though.

And now Brook Lopez is gone for the season...

The nightmare season just gets worse for Brooklyn.

I'm dreaming of Jabari Parker this Christmas!

(Is that weird?)

As a starting Center, Andray Blatche has posted #s of .551 shooting from the field, 6.3 rebounds (2.3 offensive - 4.0 defensive), 1.0 blks, 1.5 steals and 16.8 per game.

They'll wash out in the first round but they'll make the playoffs.

Anyway, you dream of Parker; I'm looking at Embiid.

Not in the least bit, because I am too. Lopez was their best player this season and now losing him could be a crippling blow, especially considering the fact that they already have an aging and pretty injury prone roster. That Joe Johnson trade just keeps on giving, and it might just put this franchise on another level. I'm also happy that my fellow countryman Mirza Teletovic will get some extended minutes, and I will be rooting for him individually but I personally want the Nets to just keep losing.

They aren't sniffing the playoffs. Go take a look at their next 13 games. I will be surprised if they win more than 3 of those 13.

Happy for your franchise, but as a Celtics fan hoping you miss the playoffs by a game or two and win a top 3 pick in the lottery- we get the lesser of your pick and the Nets'...

You might as well give up on that one. The Hawks will have homecourt in the first round. This team is only getting better from here on out.

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't rig the lottery, just so the hawks wont have a chance at parker or wiggins

Shame on you ... that idea is preposterous ... it's colossally slanderous ... it, morally, goes against the very fiber of David Stern to cheat ....

... I'm betting they either go with the frozen envelope or they bend one corner. What's your guess?

(Kobe Bryant and Jabari Parker, the new dynamic duo of the Lakers!)

So unaware of the Hawks' history. Murphy even created a codicil for it:
If anything can go wrong, it will. If it goes wrong in a creative and embarrassing way, it's the Hawks.

So you pretend to be a Hawks fan but are always negative towards them. Something doesn't add up here

#1, that's called humor.
#2, I'm probably the biggest homer on this board. At least, I'm the biggest one who will admit to being a homer.
#3, you have 343 posts. Maybe you should listen and learn before you set your opinions in stone.

#4, "I don't care who ya are, that's funny right there."

The Nets just got crushed at home against the Bulls. Also, their upcoming schedule is brutal.

Hopefully they lose against the bucks. That and cleveland look like the only possible wins over the next 11 or 12 games

And BRK is now officially over .500 for the first time this season. Nets are 20-8 in CY 2014. Best in the Eastern Conference.

Murphy's Law indeed rules the day yet again.

Brooklyn looks like a top 3 team in the East.
Hawks have suffered multiple injuries, have lost 12 of last 13.
Two ex-Hawks (Smoove & Woodson) are keeping their new teams so terrible they can't get into the playoffs and we can't get into the lottery.

This damn franchise can't do anything right.

I know that's mostly frustration talking, but I don't see how you can blame the franchise for injuries. Plus, look at the silver lining:

- We are on a huge losing streak that will push us out of the playoffs and into the lottery
- Knicks, Cavs, and Detroit are all trying to make the playoffs (Lord knows why) and are only 3-5 games behind
- There are still 23 games left which we can tank
- Development time for Scott & Moose
- The last time the Spurs tanked after a season ending injury to their star big man they got Tim Duncan. Just sayin...

Blame for injuries? No. But I expressed concern regarding Ferry's choice in frontcourt personnel months ago. Ayon has literally been injured most of the season. (Injured at season's start. Played in less than half of the games he was active for.)

AND DENNIS!!!

No prob. Yeah, we spoke a couple of times about family stuff. Let's just say things are a little stressful at work for him right now with his boss on the hot seat. (He's fearful a housecleaning is on the horizon.) I'll put you guys in contact at the appropriate time. I promise.

Well the Knicks don't own their pick whatsoever so what else do they have to play for?

Detroit is in a similar bind with their pick where they gave it up so they could sign their free agent haul. If they are terrible enough they get to keep it but then that throws egg in the face of their free agent haul.

Cavs are in the "entice Lebron back home" mode but they have little to lose if they don't make it. Probably why they are playing the best out of this bunch with the lack of pressure and all.

It's hard to see them really closing the gap though given their schedules. I mean drop 12 of 13 and these guys are still barely sniffing us.

Cleveland is the best bet but they are about to embark on a similar west coast trip that the Hawks are batting 0-fer on only to return home for tilts with Miami, OKC and Houston, yikes. After that they have about 4 playoff teams over the home stretch so maybe they can crawl back in the race to close out the season.

Detroit has just 7 home games over their last 20 total. It's a mixed bag of opponents but not as if Detroit has been world beaters against anyone.

New York is slightly better with 9 home games over their last 19 but 5 of those are playoff teams then they have a 5 game west coast trip featuring 2 sets of B2Bs.

The Hawks in good ole Hawks fashion will likely hold serve on 2-3 of their remaining 5 homestands and shut the door on these guys for good with a commanding 3 game lead. Ay yi yi.

If we can fall to 9th spot, we will instantly go behind MIN and DEN

DEN, with his last W, are now at 26W like ATL and have nothing to win by tanking, because their pick goes to ORL and they get NYK pick, or they have to be sure to finish with a lower record than NYK (if NYK have a better record than DEN, in this case, ORL get NYK pick, and DEN keep their pick)

NOP won last night, getting 24W, like CLE and DET
Then NYK and SAC at 22W, SAC being at 5-5 on the last 10...

DET is in a special case, because they send their pick but the pick is Top8 protected, and they are only 2W away from the 7th and 8th worst record.
