ok, just pre-season
but Toronto does not look good
they are not moving together
they cant hold possession
they are not closing down space in the final 3rd

I'm not even worried.
TFC's preseason has been designed to add new elements slowly. They have a bye week essentially to start the season, so they want to use that time wisely.

So all the renderings for the expanded BMO field pretty much confirm that the Argos will be moving in there as well. Wish the Argos found some place else to play and left BMO for TFC

Best place to put this is here. beIN Sports is now in Canada if you have Rogers. It is channel 391 and means we can finally watch the two best players in the world again.

Absolute garbage if this deal with the argos goes through. After the offseason TFC have had, landing world class players, by MLS standards, sharing BMO with a football team and replacing real grass with turf will be taking 10 steps backwards.

Exactly.
It just pisses me off that so much change has to occur for 8 CFL games every year.
Find another field in the GTA to destroy and leave BMO as the National Soccer Stadium. I'm guessing Team Canada will start to look elsewhere now too.

Jermain Defoe has arrived in Toronto.
Hamstring is 100% and he's looking forward to playing Seattle next week.

The irony IIRC is BMO had grass installed specifically for the RM match back in 2010 or whenever it was, because they refused to play on turf.
Now that Tottenham will come to Toronto this summer, if turf is installed by then, I'm sure a top flight EPL squad will voice the same concerns about turf.
I would have to say, sharing BMO with another tenant would make me lose a bit of respect for TL. Of all people, he should see the bigger picture here and how this will impact TFC negatively.

All TL sees in the Leafs playing a winter classic at BMO.
Honestly, I don't think he cares about TFC or the Argos in the long run. Leafs in the Winter Classic will make them more in one day then the Argos in 2 or 3 seasons.
Argos are just a pawn being used to convince the city to add more seats and a roof. It's just sad it's going to destroy everything TFC has worked for in the process.

Any idea on possible formations? And DeRo isn't a striker any more right, more of a midfielder now?

He's always been an attacking midfielder, He' likes to roam up front and will likely continue to do so as Bradley crosses it into the box.
As for formation...

I'm actually excited to see how they fair this year. Would be fun to see them play some meaningful soccer in toronto.

We're not giving up grass; we're getting the same hybrid playing surface that they have at Wembley, Manchester City & Liverpool. The Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos play on it too. It's called Desso Grassmaster.
Basically they inject artificial strands into the real grass field so give it extra durability. Also the grass winds into the artificial strands. It's actually pretty cool.
As for the stadium redesign; I'm very excited about it. I've had TFC seasons for a couple years and there are some miserable days there where the wind and rain is pounding down on you. Covered stands and better concourses & bathrooms sounds great to me. Also I've sat in the North End for a season and it sucked to not be able to see the video board. Honestly I think it's going to be a nice stadium remake.

DeRo is going to be a backup I'm sure. Certainly Gilberto is going to be starting; he's a DP afterall.
I think we'll see

Orr---Henry---Caldwell---Morrow
Rey---Bradley---Osorio---Jackson
--------------Defoe-----------------
--------------Gilberto----------------
Rey plays mostly on the right side not the left side. On the left side it's either going to be Jackson or possibly DeRo.
For the home opener I wouldn't be surprised to see DeRo starting.
