Yes I remember a thread a few weeks ago pointing out how Ross runs the pick and roll very well. Ross has all the tools to be a star and I don't see why he can't be better than Paul George.

Glad I'm not the only one who sees this. His passing ability, it's all instinct :D

I will hold my judgement on what type of player he'll be until towards the end of next year, lol not saying he'll stop getting better but "superstars/stars" are generally noticeable around that time in their career. Potential stars usually show signs around then. Right now, I already think he'll be one of the best defenders in the league at his position, he's really impressed me and I'm a huge Ross supporter (as you can see in my sig). He needs to become more consistent and like others have mentioned, he needs to improve his ball handling ability. He's shown signs of decent/good passing skills when given the opportunity and he has that fearlessness that elite guys have. I love his attitude, he's never scared to take the shot that will kill the self esteem of his opponent, those dagger shots and he's shown me the ability to make the big shots even if its a small sample, you can certainly see it.
- Needs to get stronger (not necessarily bigger but more wirey strong built)
- Improve ball handling
- Be more consistent
-Watch guys like Ray Allen/D wade, utilize his speed and first step to his advantage. I want him to develop a euro step and watch how D wade drives in. Obviously he probably won't ever have his handles but at least try to develop some of his moves with his first step. Watch Ray Allen and how he frees himself up, Ross is kind of like a poor man's ray allen with more athleticism.
- Try to work out with Demar as much as possible in summer, get his work ethic and other great SG/SFs
- Improve overall of course, keep working on positioning right, not always taking chances on defense, ways to find easier shot etc touch up on all the other stuff but those top points should be his main goals if he really wants to get to that level we all hope he'll get to.

On a side note, I was originally going to say Demar may hold him back but I think that may not be the case. The good news is that Demar/ Ross/Lowry all compliment each other really well so he can still play his game(3 pt shooting) as he won't get as much attention from defenses, Demar can drive in and play his mid range game while Ross can be that outside threat along side Lowry. I'm not sure if the management intend on keeping both Ross/DD together but if they both live up to their potentials then we sure are going to be a team to fear.

Immediately when I saw him last year he reminded me of T-mac. It was the smoothness the semi sleepy look, the ridiculous athleticism, the quite demeanor and these glimpses of special skills. I dont know if he has the ability to even closely reach that consistent high level we saw from T-Mac, but I wouldn't be surprised if he did either. I see greatness in him, but its up to him to bring it out. That 51 point game felt like a look through the window of what could be. 50 is insane but it at least let me know that yes this guy has a 30 point game (as in regularly) in him if he gets the opportunity and owns it. Love this man.

Silk is just straight Ill with it.

What people have to see is that Silk has a combination of Vince AND Tmac in his game(Not saying as good).

He dunks on clowns like Vince, but his handle and moves in the paint is like Tmac. Really I don't know if people really see him dribble the ball, when he dribbles other players just get lost in his handles, meaning they always step back and he gets clean shots off. Also with his dribble Silk Road is quick enough that his tear drop spins are almost rarely get blocked.

The thing holding him back is Casey and his confidence in his game and doing everything he can to impact the game. Right now Casey and his bull(like Casey), means he will take him out whether he is ballin or struggling for salmons. This gotta stop. Casey has to understand that developing and allowing Ross some touches in the O will make us that much better,

BUT

The thing I like about Casey is that he LOVES ROSS, meaning he goes out of his way to show him Love but build up Love and not blind love that made people like Vince soft and content with his game.

If Ross is as hard on his game like Demar is, then its almost scary what these 2 can do. VINCE and TMAC all over again, only this time WE have Both on Lock for some times.

Aren't Ross and George the same age? You're saying he will eventually be better than 23-yo Paul George, or better than him in general? Because George is only going to get better and better..

Derozan was also allergic to contact in his 2nd year. Its not a matter of just learning how to finish in traffic but having a strong body that can counteract the forces going against it. Ross should bulk up over the next couple seasons.

Terrence Ross is an athletic triple threat with elite defensive abilities; these are skill sets you only find in star wing players. When Pacer fans tell you his talent level and growth resembles that of Paul George, that's all the evidence you need to understand just how special of a player he can be.

What?

Ross will go for a dunk on a guy if he has the chance EVERY TIME.

The issue is that when he drives, he's so quick he usually is past his man and tries to do a fancy move.

We've seen it with 360 spin layups, with up and unders, with that beauty teardrop he's developed.

Once he gains some muscle, size and bulk on his frame (which is very lithe and agile) he will be unstoppable. It just comes with time.

I think JV had the same kind of body until the training staff put 20 lbs of upper body weight on him and completely sapped his bodies development.

Exactly, just a few games ago vs Cleveland he almost dunked on Jarrett Jack on the break.

Right now, if his shot isn't falling, he's useless (on offence). He needs drive more to the net and get to the free throw line, then he'll really be unstoppable.

Love Ross but some predictions are a little over the top right now he brings defensive toughness and a 3pt shot.
But his potential is higher since we know he can dunk but needs confidence and a coach to play him decent minutes.

Really hate putting handles on him but think he will become a high impact player but still needs work.

He does avoid contact and this translates to his inability to draw fouls. In Feb, he only had 8 free throw attempts drawing only 5 founds over 13 games in the entire month. Compare this to DeRozan who had 12 FT in one game against GS on Sunday.

He should watch Harden tapes. Harden will drive into and through traffic and gets to the line often. If Ross wants to take it to the next level, he needs to improve a lot in this area.
