i had a dream this morning that we traded for kevin love on trade deadline at the last minute. and i had not checked the news since about 3PM on the trade deadline before the deal was announced. i logged on to realgm later that night to see a 70 page thread about kevin love. apparently in this trade we kept kemba, MKG and jefferson (at least). we must have traded hendo because we were trying to figure out if we should start neal at sg or someone else. in the interviews love seems super happy to play with jefferson.

keep dreaming. he'd opt out in 2015 and go hang with 37-year-old Kobe and unhappy brick chucker carmelo in LALAland

http://grantland.com/the-triangle/putt-putt-perfection/

only the 3rd perfect score of 18 in putt putt history. great short film.

i was obsessed with putt putt in high school and spent a ton of time at the putt putt on albermarle rd (no longer there) in charlotte (not playing video games like most kids my age, but playing playing the courses). i got to where i could shoot in the low 30s fairly consistently and once shot a 29 on the middle course on albermarle rd.

does anyone else remember watching the putt putt tournaments on tv as a kid? i think the came on tv on the CBS channel in charlotte on sundays around noon.

i dont even know where there are any official putt putt courses left in the area. sad.

the baseball season is way to long, its already Spring Training and its a month long with about 35 games per team and the regular season is 162 games and then playoffs, you'd have to pay me so much to stand around in the blazing hot sun for 200 games with almost no breaks in between them

that's kind of what happens

I agree with that though. 162 games is overkill.

What do you guys think about our arena intro song? I was personally disappointed when I went. I think its lame. I like stuff that gets me amped up and gives me goosebumps. Im sure most of you know, but this is the intro song.

on a slightly different topic, these are my two favorite bad team videos:

fantastic combination of 90s clothes, generic lyrics and player involvement.

I don't mind this. I mean this isn't our main intro. They show this video BEFORE they announce players on both sides. Usually it starts with around 1:00 on the clock until it's time to sing natl. anthem and all that. Ends right at the buzzer....really it's just another random video that I don't pay attention to before the game starts lol

True, but even afterwards the player intros were lame.

Fats and I were literally the only two guys on the entire board begging for Noah going into his draft class. He would have been an ideal fit for us then and even more so now.

Everyone else said he was a head case and had zero offense and wanted to stay well clear of him.

haha. i'm glad you remember that slam. i distinctly remember getting a lot of crap leading into that draft because i was very high on noah. "he's just a college guy, it wont translate in the pros. etc..."

i also remember a lot of people being high on corey brewer, who i was not a fan of. the main guy that everyone fell in love with pre-draft on this board was rodney "the next wade" stuckey. i do seem to remember slam being a big fan of nick young and of course sean williams.

i also seem to remember slam and i being two of the very few that were ecstatic about drafting dudley with our later 1st round pick. (although i will admit to also wanting rudy fernadez and tiago splitter at that spot as well)

note: this was back when i actually still remotely cared about college basketball (nothing like the glory days of late 80s and early 90s for me). i've probably watched a grand total of 30 minutes of college basketball so far this season, probably the least amount i have watched in my life up to this point in a season.

one other thing about that draft - there was a guy who came on the board and claimed to be a waiter at a restaurant and overheard higgins and MJ talking about the draft. he said that we were very interested in thad young and javaris crittendon according to what he overheard. not sure if there was ever any truth to that post, although we did bring javaris in for training camp a few years later.
