Re: 3pt shooting is for backups - The Luke Ridnour Thread
Why Ridnour and Neal weren't play against the Grizzlies yesterday? It's good that Clifford give them time to find themselves at Charlotte, but I think they needed to play tonight. See Jeff Adrien, he arrived at Milwaukee before two days, and played yesterday against the Pacers.

It makes sense. I don't know what was wrong with CDR so Gordon played but now Clifford has till Friday to tech the new guys the system. And then test them in 3 games we are expect to lose anyway. i would call it a favorable timing.

His eye was swollen shut.
That's what it takes for Ben Gordon to get minutes. Ben Gordon has likely played his last game as a Bobcat.
investigate Adam Silver

they were being adjusted to the team and their roles and they hadn't even participated in practice at that time they wouldn't know what to do in the McBob offense

I believe the correct answer is that Sessions and Rocky have to pass their medical with the Bucks before the trade is passed by the league.
That may have already happened, though with BG playing minutes I doubt it.

They've already played, Adrien had a great game the other night. Clifford wanted to wait until the guys could practice first.

I knew I'd be wrong

Ridnour is a phenomenal pick and roll player. I would love to see him and Jefferson play together quiet a bit and use the pick and pop.

Re: 3pt shooting is for backups - The Luke Ridnour Thread
Ridnour is a Cho move imo, completely overlooked aspect of this deal but it wouldn't surprise me if Ridnour sticks around for next season if he impresses.
If Ridnour doesn't impress, I imagine we just go after Ramon, which would make this deal Adrien for Neal and his remaining contract.
It would not surprise me in the least if Ridnour had more of an impact than Neal, though I think Neal will do great just camping at the 3 waiting for Jefferson to kick it out.
How far has our team come in (nearly) 3 seasons?

Forget three seasons- we were rock-bottom a year ago.

Cho was a part of the Seattle SuperSonics front office when they drafted Luke Ridnour in 2003

Exactly. Rock bottom kicked off with the nearly 50 point thrashing from OKC...which spiraled into an 18-game losing streak.
I don't know if this has been mentioned, but we've played .500 basketball since April 13, 2013

90 percent of our existence has been depressing, last season definitely was but I still think trading crash, then Jax and then having a 7 win season was rock bottom imo.

I want to know our record since Josh McRoberts became a starter for this team.

Re: 3pt shooting is for backups - The Luke Ridnour Thread
He's had minimal impact since coming over, but I really like the ball movement on the second line with Ridnour on board. You can tell he's still learning the team dynamics - he's made a couple passes to Biz that Biz didn't expect and resulted in TO's, but I think those guys are excited at the prospect of the ball moving a bit more.
Also nice to see Zeller setting some guys up - 5 assists in 19 minutes last night is not too shabby.

Re: 3pt shooting is for backups - The Luke Ridnour Thread
one of my notes from the Cavaliers game that I thought I could post here as well:
we sure do miss Sesh's penetration. the second unit seems to lack aggressiveness since all of those players rather take jumpers. I swear Ridnour hasn't had a successful drive to the basket yet. And upon checking out player tracking at NBA.com I was right - we haven't produced a single point after his (7 total) drives (any touch that starts at least 20 feet of the hoop and is dribbled within 10 feet of the hoop and excludes fast breaks)

He passes it off every time he gets down low.
Bonnell (who I despise) tweeted about maybe giving Jannero some minutes. Jannero is bad defensively, but Ridnour isn't much better. Jannero can at least get a shot up quick
