Not happy about that move, though we had no leverage.

It's a loan with a buy provision in one year. But Bebs said the buying price was so high that either they won't do it or would give us the situation where we could get an equal replacement.

No, it's a trade with those provisions.

If Vancouver decides to keep him they will need to send money/players/draft picks to TFC as part of the "future considerations". If Vancouver doesn't decide to keep him next season it doesn't mean he will automatically return to TFC.

“There were a number of teams interested and we were looking at an intra-league loan structure, but in the end it wasn’t going to be able to work like that. We structured the trade it in a similar way via a trade.”

In return for the 22-year-old Argentine Midfielder, Toronto FC received “future considerations” which, to most, is smoke and mirrors.

“People don’t know what future considerations are,” Bezbatchenko told the Sun. “But Vancouver has a high hurdle to get over in order to keep him permanently. Let’s just put it that way. We’re comfortable that if they do, we’ll be in a very good position to reinvest (what we receive) into the team to make us better in a big way.”

And, since Laba has an additional year left on the deal he signed with MLS last season, if MLS offers teams a fourth DP slot in its next Collective Bargaining Agreement, it’s possible Laba could return to Toronto if the Whitecaps elect to forego sending “future considerations” the other way.

“They will have to give us something if they want to keep him permanently,” Bezbatchenko said. “I don’t want to get into the details of what it could be. You can speculate. It could be a variety of things.”

Laba is no longer part of the TFC organization.

I'm enjoying watching Stefan Frei play in net again.

I hope everything works out for him in Seattle.

What a way for Seattle to open up the MLS season with a win over the defending champions 1-0, scoring in the 4th minute of extra time.

Great match, I'm bumped for TFC's game next weekend.

Wow I didnt even realize TFC didnt play this week. That kind of disappointing as someone who wants to see this star studded team finally kick off.

So pumped for LA-RSL tonight, I think the Jazz have made me depressed so watching RSL is exactly what I need right now. The home opener still seems so far away though

TFC is going to be a disaster. I am very happy they are not playing this week.

I very much doubt that, with the 5 players they brought in this off season (Bradley, Gilberto, De Rosario, César & Defoe) they should end up top 3 in the East.

Why do you think we'll be terrible? Lack of talent or lack of chemistry?

I can't wait to see them kick off next week to see how the pieces fit together

Maidana and Nogueira looked incredible last night. Tough way to draw but now looking back I am pretty happy with the result.

Im always watching Champions League. Im pretty excited about Sporting KC vs Cruz Azul, both teams using the their A squads tonight will make it the best game of the quarters by far, imo. I'm still pretty mad about RSL getting robbed of their spot, but still rooting an MLS side to take this thing (maybe not so much LA, but we'll see)

Great atmosphere in both CCL games for MLS. I watched the Libertadores game last night with Santos vs D.Anzoategui in Venezuela and their stadium was empty. Its nice to see the crowds starting to come to these weekday international tournaments more. Great result for SKC. LA gotta hold this for another 8 minutes

I'm relatively surprised about the playing level of Sporting Kansas City & LAG. They really held their own against their MFL match ups. San Jose looked overmatched in the first half against Toluca but forced their style of play against them in the second half and out-played them most of that half imo.
