Im not saying that the current team cant play any better but Im just suggesting we temper our expectations to a more realistic aspiration. In the light of losing a big piece of their teams offense to an injury, expectations can be lowered to making the playoffs and competing to make the second round. Other then that let not be surprised that sometimes the jump shots just dont go in. Thats why their called low percentage shots.

no. a healthy brook lopez was not going to help us beat miami. lopez has been absolutely awful every single time he has faced the heat. they play too fast for him... indy, yeah, he would have helped there. but we need to get out of the first round first...

As for Lopez's playing style, I'm not talking about him being a slower player in the half court...I mean he's kind of the center version of ISO-Joe. He ball stops a lot and he takes a lot of bad shots...he's at his best when others are creating for him and all he has to do is catch and finish (like when Joe is at his best when he just has to catch and shoot), but he wasn't used that way enough. Again, not really his fault, but still a result of him being out there.

Great point, I've always preferred seeing him catch and finish(and the dude would make some sick, sick shots on the move towards the basket) or shoot the set J instead of attempting to post up from the three point line.

i think lopez biggest issue is that he wouldnt fight for post position, and would be satisfied posting his guy up 18 feet from the hoop, then taking 8 or 10 dribbles to get into any kind of shot. he was great at times, but whenever we went up against a team with a physical big his game changed completely. more jumpers, more face ups.

Selective my ass.

Last night was an aberration.

10-21 VS 20-9 2 different teams entirely.

5-12 - Oct/Nov
5-9 - Dec 4-5 with Lopez, 1-4 without him
10-3 - Jan
7-5 - Feb
3-1 - March

after the 10-1 stretch in January, they followed up with a 6-7 stretch including alternating wins and losses for 6 straight games. This team has been mediocre all season, I recall Denver hitting a big win streak only to drop 8 consecutive games. They are consistent at being inconsistent. It wouldn't shock me to see them erase the 4 game win streak by Wednesday only to hit another brief .700-.800 winning surge only to puff their chests again and get dropped back to reality once again.
