Get a good developmental coach and let's start building raw players from the ground up.

Hopefully this means the D-League will become more like the AHL is for the NHL - give every team an affiliate and take it seriously as a development league instead of forcing team to look for unemployed scraps all the time. This would especially help poorer teams and teams unwilling to tank, give fans a reason to actually pay attention to second round projects and European players who need time to adapt.

That's good. It will be a shorter drive for Chris Smith when he gets put on the active roster.

Knowing the Knicks, the D-League team will be just as inept, look at the Summer League rosters we put together, pathetic every year.

Too bad any team can call up our players, the NBA should allow an additional 3 rosters spots so that NBA teams can retain the rights to prospects they want to develop but have to cut.

its kind of unfair to the D-League players. If a team could retain D-Leaguers you would have a lot more Pierre Jackson's where their is clearly a need for them in the nba, but their stuck in purgatory.

If it did happen tho they should at least raise the wages of D-leaguers

Jammer, have you watch a Bayhawks game? I can tell you that they are running the same offense there...

This is a great move for the Knicks.

Now I want to see more protected players on each roster.

The White Plains Phenomenals. Maybe if they do that Stoudemire will want to play for that team instead?

Should be and will be Knights to keep with the logos and colors and then you can sell the jerseys to a whole host of players who played for you. I think the roster spots for the Knicks team will be HIGHLY sought after considering the arena will be packed and you will get noticed
I cant stand foolishness.......
