Why would you want us to face the Bulls AND Pacers? Like what's the point of wanting the hardest path to even get back to the Finals, where even if we get there we'll be tired as hell when we're an old team to begin with? Doesn't make sense. What hurt us last year was that we were running on fumes for the good part of both the ECF and Finals, not that we had a cake walk in the first two rounds...which isn't even true because the series with the Bulls was still physical and not a cakewalk even if it did end in 5.

Atlanta in the first round. Bulls second. Pacers 3rd. As for the finals, I'm pretty confident we can beat any team from the west in 6 or under if we are healthy.

i think the only team that can beat us from the west are the spurs... because they are just too good

the teams i want to face personally are

1st round - Atlanta
2nd round - Washington
ECF - Chicago
Finals - any team out west besides the Spurs

but you can bet money that it's going to be

1st round - Charlotte
2nd round - Chicago
ECF - Indiana

the west is really deep so i don't know who's coming out as of right now so i can't bet money on that

Maybe it's just me, but I think we have seen their bag of tricks and will know how to deal with them better this time around. I consider the game a few days to be an anomaly.

i want atlanta wiz then raps or bulls so I can laugh at all the people who claims that indy will beat those two teams easily. finals I think it would be Okc much like barkley vs Jordan it would be the servant vs the king.

First Round: Washington
Second Round: Chicago
Conference Finals: Indiana
Finals: Houston

I would have enjoyed the first round to have been in Toronto, but they might be too highly seeded for that to be possible. This would be the most challenging pathway to the championship. I'd like to see Indiana and Chicago brutalize one another, but we need to be tested en route to the Conference Finals as well.

yeah i consider it too dont get me wrong but that spur team is so competive and they reinvent themselfs every year for more then a decade now wich really demands respect... plus i must say that in my honest opinion the spurs lost that finals more that we won it....

3 great defensive teams that will prepare the heat if they do make it to the finals again. you dont want a cakewalk like last season i think that is why the pacers were so tough. milwaukee and bulls were too easy of a matchup they threw us off our game

Agreed. I'm cool with anything so long as we do battle with Chicago and Indiana. Those two teams will build toughness a for our team which we need for whoever we're going to face for the out of the West. Also, it'll put an end to all the nonsense that either of those teams can knock us off if we face off with them and come out on top. For the record, I really think it'll be the Clippers which many people think is crazy but my gut is telling me that they'll get over the hump this year.

I'm looking at it from the current playoff picture. If the playoffs started tomorrow, we get the Bobcats, and out of the Bulls and Wizards. I'd rather get the Bulls due to the experience of defeating them during the post season. I don't mind the Wizards though. And obviously, you'd have the Nets and Pacers in the second round and whoever wins that is who we will be facing in the ECF.

lol its just you. The spurs can always throw something different at you. Pop is the best coach in the league for a reason. Who would've thought last year in the finals he would employ such a gamble of a defensive scheme against Lebron and Wade?

^Luckily, Wade has really improved his mid-range shooting so I don't think we'll see the same problem. LeBron's jumper has been waning but I'm hopeful that it'll get back to normal in the post-season.

Good question.

"Death to my rivals" emotional approach would be Knicks, Bulls, Indy just to see those teams and fanbases boiling again.
The rational approach however would be Hawks, Raptors, Indy.

Jason Kidd is completely unproven in making adjustments as a head coach in a seven game series. I find the idea that BK would beat a healthy Pacers team insane. Give them a tough series sure but beat them? Or us? No way.

As for who comes out of the West, well whoever survives that monster island death match will be a very formidable team so I don't have a preference.

I would like the Pacers to run into the Nets and Bulls before meeting the Heat in the ECF.
I don't see the Nets dropping to 8th, but I'd be happy if the standings look like this at the end of the RS:

1. Heat
2. Pacers
3. Bulls
4. Raptors
5. Wizards
6. Bobcats
7. Nets
8. Hawks

Yeah, it'd be nice to beat the Knicks, Bulls and Pacers again, but I'd rather avoid physical (read: teams who think hacking means playing D) teams so the risk of injury is as low as possible.

And to make it perfect, the Nets should eliminate the Pacers. I'd like to see a Nets - Bulls series. There's some bad blood between those teams. I'd like to see all the bitch ass Bulls fans who claim they love physical play start whining when the Bulls get punked and hacked by the Nets. Then, after they win that series, the Heat should stomp the Bulls again and make their fans cry again.

As for the Knicks, I don't even want them to make the playoffs.
I want their pick to win the lottery. That would troll their fan base way more than being eliminated by the Heat.

Right about now we need to be hoping Chicago and Brooklyn is the 4/5 matchup, regardless of where we place. Let those tools beat each other up and knock one out.

Ideally..first round vs. Charlotte, second round vs. Was/Tor, ECF vs whoever

It may be a blessing not to get the 1 seed.

Nets and Bulls will give us the most problems in the second round so let's hope they get 4 and 5 and then play Indiana.

I can see the Nets beating Indiana.

We certainly will beat the Bulls in 5 but it'll be a tough series. We could beat the Nets in 4 or be taken to 7. They have the weapons. I fear Blatche and AK47 in that matchup.

We will take Indiana in 6 if they have home court advantage.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders
