Do not look like that player just trying to hold onto something that is not there any more.
None of us would turn down 9 million dollars. I'd run out there on a broken leg for 9 mil and look terrible. None of this is going to sully the memory of Nash. Everyone looked terrible in the end. Shaq, Charles Barkeley, Tracy McGrady, Allen Iverson, I mean I'm sure I could compile a better list than that but I'm just randomly throwing names out there. Once his career ends, a year or two will go by, and the first thing we'll think of when hearing the name Steve Nash is him being one of the greatest ever in that Suns uniform. It's his career, his final career, doing something that he loves to do, which is why I understand and don't blame him for pushing it for as long as possible. Many of us are fans of basketball because we vicariously live through them. We wish that we could be NBA superstars. And if we had the opportunity, we wouldn't want to give it up either.
He will rise again...
