When I made the trade for Green, I had two firsts at the time, I don't remember how but I traded one of them to be top 8 protected. Then I later got miami's and I should have been at three but since I didn't write it down, that protected pick got lost.

that protected pick you made. Do not you get that? That was your own pick and it fell in the top 8 so you kept it instead of it going to TOR. Then you got it back for 2015 because the prior GM's didnt specify protections and kesh ruled in your favor. You really need to stop complaining considering what happened to 2 other GM's who lost assets so you could keep that pick.

Not complaining whatsoever, just trying to clarify for that trade because he didn't have my 2015 first.

I'm sorry to anyone I offended. : (

I hate drama and was trying to end this situation so we could all move on.

That is why I quoted the rules. So some guys got screwed. Truthfully.

Im not mad at anyone. Never was.

I am frustrated that a decision was made that took a pick away from me and I wasnt consulted prior to a final decision nor was I informed about it until Troubadour sent me an email telling me we had to re-do our trade.

That is all. I respect Kesh's right to make whatever ruling he wants and I will accept it. I just don't understand why I wasnt included in the process. This is the last comment I intend to make on the subject.

edit: And I may need to trade for some cash in case my comments critical of the commissioner get me fined.

219. Nuggets- Spurs
The Nuggets and Spurs have agreed to a sign and trade of Gordon Hayward.
It is in the best interest of Hayward of accepting this deal as he gets the money he would want, and if he did sign an offer sheet with another team I would just match it and send him to the Spurs anyways.

Contract for Gordon Hayward

15,000,000/15,675,000/16,350,000/17,025,000= $64,050,000

Trade would be in two parts and San Antonia has the cap space to absorb the difference

Trade Part 1
Gordon Hayward (15 Mil)
For
Marcus Smart (3,214,200)

And Trade 2

Denver Outgoing
Trey Burke - 2,548,560
Shabazz Mohammed- 1,971,960
Total = 4,520,520
For
Spurs Outgoing
Nothing

Nuggets accept when i get off work
Ahh its lunch time might as well add why I did this..
Once we drafted Gary Harris 11th overall we became open to the possibility of signing and trading Hayward. Initially we were after a young Centre, however when we could not get that accomplished we looked up and down our roster and decided PG was the next best position to improve at. Though we hate trading our starting back court, and possibly taking a step back this year we believe we are taking a giant leap forward in about two years time by acquiring a potential franchise player in Smart. Though both Burke and Hayward are great and both have potential in making multiple all-star appearances we cannot let the opportunity of acquiring a player like Smart slip. If Smart continues to develop his game there is no reason he cannot live up to his player comparison of Jason Kidd a future hall of famer. Losing Shabazz wasn’t ideal however he has shown very little at this point in his career and believe our second round pick in Sam Dekker can offer more in the long run to replace his loss.

This move was also done for financial reasons. We have two upcoming RFA in Leonard and Faried who will most likely get Max offers next summer, and we cannot justify supporting a roster with 3 max players at this juncture. We feel we have a great young core of players in Kawhai Leonard, Kenneth Faried, Gary Harris and now Marcus Smart to go along with completary pieces like Beverley, Caldwell-Pope, KJ Daniels, and Tim Mozgov who will all entire there prime at the same time just about when the Western conference power-houses will be on the decline (im guessing that’s going to be in 2-3 years).
Also, we like the big-man crop of free agents next summer and look forward to improving our centre position at that time….

AND CAN WE KEEP ALL DISCUSSIONS IN THE DISCUSSIONS THREAD AND NOT CLUTTER THIS ONE.

THANKS

Well, San Antonio owes Toronto a pick. However you want to work that out is up to you.

Spurs accept. Hate to give up a potential future superstar, but Burke is already good, and Hayward is already good. Not to mention Shabazz has great potential.

I'm Toronto. Yes, the pick was protected for 2014 and 2014 alone. That does not excuse San Antonio's responsibility to convey a pick in the following year. Since no protection was specified, it is reasonable to assume there is no protection in 2015.

Yes. Since no protection was established on the 2015 pick, I think it's fair that the pick is unprotected in 2015.

Subject to the inclusion of the HOP 2nd - the Bobcats accept the deal (It was in the final negotiations). We move the long term salary of Ilyasova from a crowed PF position in which Ersan would be a backup in our future plan to a shorter contract for a starting SG in JJ Redick. We add a Larger - defensive stopper in Tony Wroten who is living up to his Rajon Rondo Lite billing and continues to improve his midrange game. I really like Zaza with Len as insurance and a Post Center (which is becoming a unique position - and he can school Alex Len on the post game. Finally, Copeland offers backup skills at the SF (he was the SF in NY in the Days of Linsanity - Melo was out!) and he can play the PF in spots. That is a better blend that the duplication of Donatas who could not help at the SF position. This deal really helped balance both rosters - Nice Dealing Bix G!

Mavs agree. Our biggest weakness was pg, we needed to shake things up after our 1st round exit, and we needed some picks.

Philly in:
Blake Griffin: 17,674,612 / 18,907,725 / 20,140,838 / 21,373,950
Chris Paul: 20,068,563 / 21,468,696 / 22,868,828 / 24,268,960 P
$3M Cash
=37,743,175

LA Clippers in:
Andrew Wiggins (#2 pick in 2014) $4,108,800
Dante Exum (#5) $3,012,500
Zach LaVine (#12) $1,803,400
Ersan Ilyasova: 7,900,000 / 7,900,000 / 8,400,000
2015 1st [LAC] returned
=16,824,700

Philly has $24,604,566 in cap space, so we can absorb the extra salary. This is the rare deal that I've been waiting for. I give up two top 5 picks in one of the best drafts ever, plus LaVine, Ilyasova, and now a very valuable pick- that's so much, but I get arguably the best big/small duo in the real-life NBA. Great dealing UK-Raptor!

How you gonna say no? Exum - Wiggins - Sullinger is a nice young core to go forward with with complimentary players like LaVine and Stauskas. Now LAC has entered a full rebuild getting my first back is extremely valuable as likely to be top 10 at least again next draft where I'm sure we can add the final piece to the puzzle. This team is now going to be scary good in a couple of years.. It was clear the Paul/Griffin wasn't enough to lure FA's or win championships hence the new and even more exciting direction we are taking. Ersan is immediately OTB. Oh and MAJOR cap space.
