He's always been an attacking midfielder, He' likes to roam up front and will likely continue to do so as Bradley crosses it into the box.

As for formation...

--------------Cesar----------------

Orr---Henry---Caldwell---Morrow

Jackson---Bradley---Osorio---Rey

--------------DeRo-----------------

--------------Defoe----------------

DeRo is going to be a backup I'm sure. Certainly Gilberto is going to be starting; he's a DP afterall.

I think we'll see

--------------Cesar----------------

Orr---Henry---Caldwell---Morrow

Rey---Bradley---Osorio---Jackson

--------------Defoe-----------------

--------------Gilberto----------------

Rey plays mostly on the right side not the left side. On the left side it's either going to be Jackson or possibly DeRo.

For the home opener I wouldn't be surprised to see DeRo starting.

I agree on Gilberto over DeRo for the season, but he's likely out this weekend so I didn't include him.

And no way, Defoe isn't our striker out front.

So mods are OK with one of their peers, Little Ozzy, creating a non-basketball thread on the Raptors board, but locks/suspends any other posters who create a non-basketball thread at any other time? Hypocrite much?

There is a RealGM soccer board. Yes I know that nobody visits it, but thats because most basketball fans give no Fs about soccer.

Just saying.

Because it's of interest to people in Toronto. It slides off the board quickly, but also promotes that the season is starting this Saturday.

If it doesn't interest you, just ignore it.

Hey, no problem, I'm not even completely uninterested in TFC - hoping they can make some noise with their new acquisitions.

However, when every other thread referencing any other Toronto sports team (or even Team Canada for that matter), is locked up with the OP admonished, I think that there is some hipocrasy in you bumping this thread to the Raptors board just because you find it interesting.

I love this forum and I think that the mods do a great job administering it. I like the rules that are in place, I just wish that they applied equally to all users - including yourself.

In all honesty, I have never seen a member banned or suspended for creating a thread about another team or subject. It's more likely to be locked or moved to the correct forum without any further action.

When I was a Mod, I would never ban a person simply for creating a thread unless they excessively created the same thread over and over again or it was offensive in some way. A TFC thread shouldn't bother anyone.

seen jermaine defoe today at the eaton centre just chilling aha. Told him arsenal will beat spurs in the NLD this weekend and he laughed but I wished him the best in toronto. Can't wait till TFC's guys are all ready to go , I know they're having some injury problems. hopefully this is the year I get hooked onto MLS soccer.

You saw him today?

Was really hoping Toronto would have flown out west early to rest the guys after the long trip.

We should have rented somewhere to train in Seattle all week personally.

No , I seen him Wednesday at noon. I was surprised they haven't left yet seeing as they have a west coast game.

My prediction from a page back was pretty damn close to what TSN is predicting.

--------------Cesar----------------

Orr---Henry---Caldwell---Morrow

Jackson---Bradley---Osorio---Rey

--------------DeRo-----------------

--------------Defoe----------------

Yes.

DeRo will likely move to the bench.

Hey Guys -- new soccer fan here, trying to educate myself on the game as best I can.

I'm a big NBA fan so I was wondering who you would (roughly) compare Gilberto, Defoe and Bradley to in the NBA in terms of skill?

Thanks!

Defoe - Current day Kobe, nearing the end of his career, not the player he once was but still has some game left.

Bradley - Ginobili, not a star but a good solid player who you want on your team that will help you win.

Gilberto - Senior coming out of college, as he's 24 and has spent all of his career in Brazil. Not quite good enough to leave school early and be a top draft pick, but still is a good talented player, has some upside and is looking to make a name for himself.

Wow that's pretty spot on.

All I would add is Bradley is more like a PG and will look to get everyone involved. You'll see him with the ball at his feet for a lot of the game as he looks to push it forward.

I would consider Henry as modern day Kobe and Defoe as modern day Wade maybe?
