There should be a dunk contest between Lebron, Durant, George, Wiggins, and Gerald Green next season, and please, no more midgets. Guys like Nate and Lilliard pretty much ruin everything with their multiple attempts, trying to do complex dunks.

He's a transcendent athlete with freakish physical tools, I'm sure Wiggins at worst will be an elite defender in the NBA. Look how quick and long the guy is in the vine vid.
His ceiling is off the charts, but how many guys ever fully actualize their potential?
I personally wouldn't take Wiggins over Embiid or Parker, but it'd be foolish to let him drop past #3.

I'm a Buck's fan so I'm biased, but, I think the Bucks would be a great fit for Wiggins due to the mismatches created by Giannis playing the 3 with Wiggins at the 2.

Re: Will Andrew wiggins be a great player in the NBA?
To me he has great potential in the NBA.
I do not see him as much of a go-to scorer though. 41 points, and 30 points are nice, but the way in which he's always gotten his points has not struck me as a go-to guy.
Alley oops, transition points, jumper are very important, absolutely. But, I still see a lack of him getting the ball, creating, and driving at will on opponents. I feel like a go-to guy you should be able to hand the ball to and he'll be able to create a great shot for you when you need it. I just don't see that here.
To me, he seems like more of an absolutely amazing 2nd option. One that can play elite D, and get you 20 points on great efficiency while 'fitting in', and doing a bit of everything, like ally oops, hitting jumpers, getting to the line, playing in transition, and the odd half court drive. And, to me a great 2nd option can be extremely impactful and be better than a lot of 1st options around the league. I just have yet to see a 1st option skillset from him though.

I have no doubt about he'll be better player than Paul George.
But If he can't become player like Durant, LeBron, he'll bu bust right?
Kid is just 19. He'll improve so much. Don't act like he is finished product. DeRozan's ball handling was really bad in his early career. But now, he's dropping like 25 point everynight. Wiggins' taller than DeRozan, have same athletic ability If not better. And most importantly, He's really really good on Defensive end. And his shoothing perfomance pretty solid. I don't know why everybody act like his shoothing stroke and performance broken or something.
Also when he gained some weight, around 220-225 pound, he'll be better finishet at the rim.

Re: Will Andrew wiggins be a great player in the NBA?
hes unique. i can see the tmac comparisons as well as the paul george comparisons but IMO he can be better than both of them. tmac had this sort of effortless/smooth game that i dont see wiggins has but wiggins has superior athleticism.
his defense will be top notch, once he adds some muscle and improves that jumpshot he can be a top 5 player in the nba. as it stands he has the speed and bounce to get to the rim almost at will but the system he plays in doesnt necessarily give him that chance.
once hes the number one option on his team we will see his game flourish. i have high hopes for this guy i really like how he plays

Why are you putting words into my mouth like "he'll be a bust if he isn't like Lebron"? Who's acting like a finished product. What on earth are you talking about?

Re: Will Andrew wiggins be a great player in the NBA?
Paul George is a 22/7/4 player with 1st team level D. I think that's a decent base for what kind of player we can project Wiggins to be.
But George also has a .436 FG% and only shoots 5.6 FTA per game off of 17.1 FGA, I expect Wiggins to get to the rim much easier than George currently does which will help him get to the line more and be a more efficient scorer. I think Wiggins can be a .470 FG% guy who gets to the line atleast 8 times a game with his quickness and finishing ability.
That extra scoring ability could be what allows Wiggins to hit a different level than what George is currently at. Paul George has been a Top 10 player in the NBA this year imo, if he was shooting .470 from the field and getting to the line 8 times a game he would be a clear cut 3rd in the MVP race imo. 26/7/4 + 1st team All D caliber defense. That' the kind of player Wiggins can be. Excellent two way potential, he has wrestled the #1 pick back from Embiid and Parker.

yeah It's kind a look like that. Sorry about that. I'm just tried to make an argument against your thesis is he wheter 1st or 2nd option, then raise to the bait and want to swoop down all Wiggins doubters. But unfortunately it's look like I putting words into your mouth.

Embiid left and he's looking every bit the hype. You make him the featured guy and he's a superstar, no doubt.

The answer is simple: if he goes to a lowly franchise such as Philly, Milwaukee, Orlando, Sacramento or Utah he will be the next OJ Mayo and he would waste his talents there. However, if he is picked up by the Lakers or Celtics, I can see him as the next superstar in the NBA.

OJ Mayo wasn't any good to begin with
And the Lakers have been a trash heap franchise since 2011, literally nothing they've done over 3 years has indicated that any player would succeed in that environment.

Just like Kevin Durant or Lebron would be trash on the Sonics or Cavs?

He just turned 19 and has all the time to get stronger and get better at finishing... How many times does this have to be stated?

Another excuse that doesn't refute the fact that finishing is not a skill that Wiggins possesses.

Oy Vey - Seriously, is this what you have to put your hat on. Nothing they have done in the last 3 years? Really? REALLY?
1) Let's just ignore the previous 60 years (where they made the finals half of the time)
2) Let's just ignore that they actually made the playoffs the two previous seasons, and just happened to be an old team that ran out of gas.
3) What exactly have the Celtics done in the last 3 years that left them out of your little attack? Oh that's right, nothing.
4) It is quite clear you just hate the Lakers.
