Poll added.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

No. There are too many holes within his game and personality.

If we can't move him, fine, keep him. He's bad, but Smith at SF is an even bigger disaster.

There's very little chance that he ever figures it out. I think that the only way that he'll ever learn is if he loses his starting job to someone else. Then, maybe, he'll improve. Like, get stronger, learn to finish with his off hand, improve his shooting form. That way when he takes shots he'll at least hit a decent percentage of them, and perhaps occasionally play real defense. I don't know if he'll ever maximize his potential as a distributor, that might require some Zen Master type stuff.

If he fought through screens I think he'd be serviceable

I voted yes, but we need the right coach.
Jennings is very naturally talented, but we need a coach that can get the most out of him.
If we get a coach that can put a muzzle on both Jennings and Smith we'd be a playoff team even with our messy roster.

Jennings is NOT the problem! He has the talent and the instinct for basketball. All he needs is a coach. Believe it or not, Cheeks was a great coach ONLY for Jennings. He actually got him to play at a high level. Just couldn't get anyone else to play that hard which is why the PG was inefficient and inconsistent. But in my opinion, he's NOT the problem. His contract is small (just two more years).

The problem is Smith and Monroe. One of them has to leave. One has a big contract and another is due a big contract. Which one deserves it and plays better with Drummond? I say it's Smith. He's a proven player. So to me, it's a easy fix up. You trade Monroe, let Stuckey and CV walk, and sign a shooter.

IF we keep our Draft pick, our future looks MUCH brighter. Oh, looks like we have it now. Well what do you know! we suck ***!

What is it that makes you say Jennings is talented? He cant shoot, He cant penetrate, He cant run a offense, Cant defend, Hes a chucker and he has a douche bag attitude. I just cant see any form of natural talent.

I voted no,Hes just to inconsistent when it comes to shooting,is terrible at defense, and very avg when it come to getting in the lane.I think hes hard headed and will never get it.He is a good passer, has good court vision so he would be good as a backup, but because of his mentality he will never truly embrace the role like stuckey has embraced his.

He's young so I'd like to think he can be salvaged, but I don't think there's any real disagreement out there about his atrocious play and decline after Cheeks left.

I was enticed by his talent when the trade happened. But, I can honestly see why the Bucks fans celebrated when he was traded. He isn't a winner. He isn't a leader. He will never be a 2-way player, and what he gives you on the offensive end is sporadic at best.

If he plays the way he has since Loyer replaced Cheeks, no. I thought he was actually solid in the beginning of the year...albeit a bit inconsistent.

The issue with Jennings and Smith is that they never went to college and so never learned how to play the game at a high level. They are just super athletic/talented playground players. They are both fatally flawed and I dont believe either will ever get it.

The question for me is not if jennings can come back but who can we get? Unless your drafting I dont see how you can get an upgrade at the position. I guess if you can get a PG in a smith trade you can let Jennings go but Im just not interested in Bynum or Siva as NBA players.

I said yes, mostly because I really like his contract. He has the talent and I want to see him under a real coach before we toss him aside.

Early in the season I thought maybe I was wrong about him. His defense still sucked but he was getting assists like crazy. However, it seems like he has went back to being the Brandon Jennings we saw on the Bucks. I still think this huge lineup + a consistent shooter would work with the right coach but I'd still trade Jennings with Monroe or Smith if it meant an upgrade in talent and fit.
