I would be happy if the Suns drafted Montrezl Harrell with one of their picks. He looks like a beast.

He's looking like exactly what the Suns need. Great strength, violent dunker, high energy, really looks to make his presence felt in the paint.

Info and I are in agreement here. I like him a lot. A lot a lot. He's kind of replaced Poythress (tho I still like him) as my non Dougie McBuckets man crush.

I'd tend to agree based on the details provided on the sites, but .net tends to be much closer to the actual (though I don't think they were very close last year, iirc). I think .net takes a more consensus approach.

Yeah, he's looking really good. I think there is a lot of talent that will be available between 14 and 20. I don't think there is THAT much difference in between those picks and picks 7-13 or so. I think a guy like Harrell could be every bit as good as Vonleh or Gordon, if not better. That's why I think trading two picks to move up a few spots doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I trust DX over .net a hell of a lot more. They are just an all around better site. They go way way more in depth with the evaluations on each player, and in the past have shown way better accuracy in placing draftees.

After the first 2 mins of watching his scouting report all I can say is and Damn!! 7'3 wing span?! Can you imagine he and Bledsoe in the pick and roll?

Well, it's tough to tell who may slide, but any of these guys (that will play in the tourney) could go from 10-25

Rodney Hood - Duke (plays tomorrow morning in conference championship game)
Montrezl Harrel - Louisville
Doug McDermott - Creighton
James Young - Kentucky (plays tomorrow afternoon in conference championship game)
Kyle Anderson - UCLA
Jerami Grant - Syracuse
Nik Stauskas - Michigan (plays tomorrow afternoon in conference championship game)
Adreian Payne - Michigan St (plays tomorrow afternoon in conference championship game)

With Indy's pick, I think we could/should look at:

Sam Dekker - Wisconsin
Chris Walker - he could go higher but I wouldn't take him higher ((plays tomorrow afternoon in conference championship game)
Rondae Hollis Jefferson (if he comes out) - he could be a steal at the end of the first round

I'm also still not sure why Jordan Adams from UCLA isn't ranked higher but I think he could be a nice pick late as well, especially if he is there with our 2nd round pick.

Other guys we could take with our second round pick could be Melvin Ijim (Iowa St) or Glenn Robinson III (Michigan) (plays tomorrow afternoon in conference championship game)


I've mostly mention forwards and a couple of guards. There are some other guys like Willey Cauley Stein from Kentucky, who may fall in range for our first pick, but he is basically a center who is pretty inconsistent (but he can have monster college games too).

Of course this excludes guys who won't play in the tourney like TJ Warren (NC State and ACC player of the year as a soph..beat out Jabari Parker) and any international guys.

Well, I guess NC State ended up making it so TJ Warren will be playing too. They have a play in game tomorrow night against Xavier and if they win that will play again Thursday and then maybe Saturday if they get past Saint Louis.

Yeah, he sounds perfect except for the 3 pt shooting. But at least shooting is something you can work on. You can't teach athleticism.

He also looks like the type of player McD would like.

He actually has a profile very similar to Wiggins, except worse at 3s but way better at blocks. Of course he is older though.

Yup I've been touting kj McDaniels as a great mid to late first rounder for a while. He's my favorite player who's projected after 15. Love his defensive potential. The fact he's nearly a 90% free throw shooter is a good sign he could improve his 3 pts in the pros. Could really be a late round gem.

The hard-to-guard sophomore forward scored 16 of his 25 points in the second half on Tuesday night, showing why he was the ACC's player of the year, and North Carolina State led most of the way in a 74-59 victory over Xavier in the NCAA tournament's First Four.

N.C. State (22-12) didn't have much time to celebrate. The 12th-seeded Wolfpack headed to Orlando, Fla., for a game on Thursday against St. Louis in the Midwest Regional.

Warren had the most to do with it. He made up for a freshman tournament flop on the same floor a year earlier and prevented Xavier (21-14) from getting any traction in the second half.

"He's just a great player," coach Mark Gottfried said. "It's hard to keep him down for a whole 40 minutes."
