Very Confused..Please Help!!

Do the hawks have a pick in this summer's draft or no? I keep reading different things...

It is my understanding that the hawks will have to surrender our 2014 pick to Boston because we have the worst of the two records. Atlanta vs Brooklyn

Am I right or wrong or just very confused!? Please help

Hawks most certainly have a pick

Brooklyn will convey the less favorable of its 2014 1st round pick and Atlanta's 2014 1st round pick to Boston (via Atlanta's right to swap for Brooklyn)

The HAWKS have the RIGHT to swap picks with the NETS depending on who is better , the celtics get the LEAST favorable of the Hawks/nets picks.

So lets say Hawks have pick 12, Nets have pick 15, Boston has Pick 1.

Hawks WOULD NOT SWAP with Nets because they have a better pick (12>15).
Celtics would get Nets Pick 15 (because its less favorable than Pick 12)
Celtics would retain Pick #1.

So Celtics will wind up with 2 picks essentially.

IF NETS pick 10, Hawks pick 12, Celtics PICK 1:
Hawks would swap with Nets (10>12)
Cetlcis would get pick 12 because its the LEAST favorable of the 2 (10 vs 12)
Celtics retain pick 1

So based on how the season is likely to end:

Hawks will not swap picks with Brooklyn bc our pick is better due to the worse record and the C's will take Brooklyn's pick leaving them with nothing and boston with 2 picks?

Correct, Nets get JACK **** this draft. Celtics will wind up with 2 picks no matter what
