So, you think Trent Dilfer (1 SB) is a better QB than Dan Marino (0 SBs) then?

Are you kidding me, in what world is Mario Williams not a great #1 pick. He currently has 77 sacks, last year he got 13 sacks (JJ Watt only got 10 sacks).

Mario will end his career with atleast 100 sacks.

Mario was a good pick, i don't know who you wanted HOU to take over Mario... Reggie Bush, Vince Young, DBrickashaw, Matt Leinart???

Mario Williams is a good player, but for the #1 overall pick you're trying to get a cornerstone franchise player. The Texans let Mario walk and didn't really miss a beat.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

I think that's more 06 being a lousy draft class than Houston missing on the #1 pick though.

You can make an argument that Mario is the best player to come out of that draft (and certainly the best of the guys they were realistically considering taking #1 overall).

Texans still leaning towards Clowney....even more so considering they are seeking to trade for Ryan Mallet who was coached by O'Brien in NE.

Johnny football should be the number 1 pick. Johnny football is the best quarterback in the NFL, and he isn't even drafted yet

Mario Williams is by far one of the best players in the 2006 draft. the only players that could considered as good as Mario is Tamba Hali, Elvis Dumervil, Tim Jennings, Maurice Jones-Drew, Vernon Davis, Greg Jennings, and Brandon Marshall, but none of those guys has a resume that is any better than Mario's

so it appears the texans are leaning towards Khalil Mack who many NFL experts believe could end up being the best player in the draft...as the world turns...lol

The top pick and who is #1 of all 1's. Is Clowney. None of those QBs are clearcut #1s at their position. A crapshoot. But clowney is top rated, and paired up with the opposite side post an attacking rush every single down.

And oh yeah, mario is a bust. He has not led the texans to any post season success, for a #1 pick. Reggie? Bling Bling. Superbowl champion. Was on a tear that season and electricity during the playoff run. Williams was easily sent packing, and like 1 poster mentioned above. Texans didnt miss him.

Dear lord, I hope this is sarcasm.

WHAT PART OF THE WORDS SUPERBOWL CHAMPION SEEMS CONFUSING TO YOU!
