Kenneth Faried, scoring machine?

Post#1 » by Mac1958 » Sun Mar 16, 2014 12:21 pm

What's going on here?

Who flipped the switch?

My only guess as to what has happened with Faried is that it was decided at some point to run plays for him. I haven't had a chance to see the last few games, is that what's happening?

Pretty impressive numbers.

defensive pressure from mozgov is a big difference. hickson didn't do **** as a starter to stop the ball.

Moz is bigger but not much of a defensive improvement over JJ. Faried is playing much better in the post. Boxing out, posting up and playing with energy.

Aldridge basically begged Portland's FO to get someone else at center.

No surprise that Faried has been playing more like himself when there is no one giving up defensive positioning to stat his pads.

Has to be Mozzy. This is the perfect example of how chemistry works so much harder than individual prowess and how a player's potential can be increased in the right situation.

He's done better. I'd consider signing him to an extension in the off-season since he's up for renewal next year. I think he's only going to get better. I'd get him to continue improving his defense and grow his offensive game some more and keep adding to his all around game. I don't mind Hickson, but I'd consider moving him in the off-season, but I don't think there are too many interested teams in him.

It makes a big difference having a big body like Mozgov behind you in the paint.

It's one reason why Faried's offense has picked up.
