Jese suffered a serious knee injury in the first half of Real Madrid's Champions League match on Tuesday against Schalke.
Jese had emerged for Real this season at just 21 years old.
"Real Madrid confirm that Jese's injury is serious," wrote Filippo Ricci of Gazzetta dello Sport on Twitter. "Possible cruciate ligament rupture. More tests needed."
