Jerry and Grant are seriously overrating IT. He's not even having a good game.

Haha, Gooden pissed off Cousins now. He's not going to let Gooden live down that little cocky response after that 3.

you guys are idiots. Why are you not tanking and losing to a team like Washington?

This game was a testament to the individual talent the big 3 has. Makes you wonder if they can instill an offense that will feature a better passing game than a 1:1.25 assist to turnover ratio how far they can go.

Tanking this year would have required a complete rebuild like the Sixers, which wouldn't even guarantee us the best player in the draft.

Yes, and the Kings were there 3-4 years ago. Time to move onto more solid footing, not wishing in one hand and ****ing in the other.

Of course I say that knowing full well the Kings will be one spot out of drafting a falling Julius Randle. Yes, I will be pissed. I'll move on. haha.

You cannot say just because King's were in a "complete rebuild" 3-4 years ago, it's time to push forward. Yes we were in a complete rebuild, but we also obtained one piece out of that rebuild (Boogie) and absolutely nothing else.

The point of rebuilding is to obtain young talent you can develop into core pieces for your roster. Right now we have 1 core piece, 1 core piece that could leave (Gay), and 1 6th man-type piece that we simply can't afford.

Yeah, you can because it's unrealistic to think that with the Kings getting some worthwhile talent at or around that time and since that they would still be bad enough to have a shot at a top 3 pick without batting an eyelash. Too much time has passed. Those players have developed and improved, the time to suck and focus on their own development at the cost of winning games has come and gone. Like I said, if that were the case and they still were losing at that clip then I ask if would you like a side order of pointless suffering with your draft pick?

The Kings didn't whiff every draft, I still see a dominant big man to build around. I see an interesting wing to go with him that was acquired via trade. It's enough reason for me to think doing all you can to supplement that is the right idea. I don't think focusing all your efforts in a non-deep draft to supplement them should be plan A especially if that talent doesn't fill your needs. Otherwise you might as well dig up TRob and give him another go.

I don't think plan A should be based on a gamble. If the Kings get a great player out of the draft, then good, but if you look at any draft getting that is luck more years than not and if they are just a mirror of what you have in somebody who's going to get shots and minutes already than what good does it get you? I can break down an entire list of players on this team the last few years who "suck" who now mysteriously don't suck in a different situation. It would be different if want to go the safe route like teams in the Danny Granger, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George part of the draft and go for resume and fit rather than pure potential.

If and when Gay leaves get back to me then. Right now he's a part of the plan, and if you want to make sure he's a long term part of the plan I advise doing some of the things I speak of.
