I watch Korver hit 3s for Atlanta and think, imagine an offense where you have Al on the block, Kemba driving, and Doug McDermott at the 3 point line. Who do you guard? I just can't believe that mgmt didn't try to make sure we got either the DET or CHA pick this year. I'm incredulous. It's just stupid.

well you can't make sure you get the Detroit pick (unless you mean another trade to lift the protection, god knows how much that would cost) and they decided they wanted to go for the playoffs now instead of trying to nurse another draft pick.
its bad business to keep losing, I do get why they have done it even though i was pro tanking earlier in the year.

Henderson totally kills ball movement. I agree 100% he's an odd fit. He just doesn't open up the offense for his teammates at all and you can't carry him on the floor with MKG. You just can't.
The thing that annoys me about McRoberts is that while he shoots 3's at a decent clip, they are of the variety that any NBA player should drain them blindfolded. Because of Jefferson down low, McRoberts gets to set his feet and square up to the basket on nearly every attempt so when he misses, he's missing those wide-open shots players get in practice. Last night the Hawks saw he was not shooting well and sagged off about 15 ft. They were all over Kemba and totally molested Gary Neal. I mean they double teamed Gary Neal. If that doesn't send a message to Clifford about spacing and how to set the lineup, I don't know what to say.
If you're going to carry a point PF, a SF who can't shoot (and can't hit free throws) you can't carry a player whose signature move is to launch fadeaway jumpers when given 20 ft of space. I really thought Evan Turner could do a ton more with that space but I like Neal. He needs to start. And I don't give a flying farc about the Pistons pick because Cho was going to draft Gary Harris and keep Henderson's minutes up, stunting the system. Get a legit SG in here like Lance Stephenson and get Henderson the hell off this team.
And Cody Zeller can't develop fast enough.

Yeah, of course the team couldn't do anything about DET's suckitude. It became clear early on though that our team would be "around" the eight seed by year end. I assumed that mgmt would gauge how DET was doing to adjust playing time vets v. youngins to make or not make the playoffs. Instead they went into macho can't lose mode. It's going to be a long time till this team sees another lottery pick. Even a couple timely "injuries" against DET in those back to back wins of ours that pulled the plug on their season could have changed the dynamic. I just don't see where losing in the playoffs this year motivates the fan base any more than the changes coming next year. And anyone who thinks DET isn't a whole different story next year once Dumars resigns and they sign Lionel Hollins to coach isn't paying attention. I know its a quandry because I love watching us beat suck-as* teams like DET but expectations were low this year and I really think this team could have pulled off keeping its pick while still looking like a team on the upswing. Finding it hard to let go of the rebuilding mentality, I suppose.

Worst game we've played in a long time.
Bad mall movement
Bad shot selection
Defensive lapses
and I think we are starting to get some bandwagon fans. It's obvious there were quite a few first time fans there last night, that began to boo the team. A lot of the boos were directed towards the refs, but there was a certain instance where they booed the team...
Particular group of "Bobcats fans" sitting close to us, yelling "YOU SUCK" at all of our players. classy.
