If you're having a bad day just look at Drew Goodens per 36 minute numbers and advanced stats.

21/11 with a PER of 24.6 with eFG% in the 60s.

That's probably my second-favorite basketball gif of all time. The best one is this:

It`s just he`s 20 and a on a rookie deal. Be patient

I didn't say he's a bust. Of course we shoudl be patient, but they should also scale him back some. He's played poorly most of the season, his habits are poor, and he doesn't seem ot be making adjustments. Yet he still gets his 35+ minutes and a green light to shoot it when he wants.

Beal has been pressing. He's growing in aggressiveness and assertiveness. But he hasn't matured to the point where he can create a ton of offense for himself, pace the game, assert his will, but in a natural game flow. His patience and decision making aren't there yet.

He has mature skills, but he's not quite the sum of his parts yet. His feel for the game is developing. Wall was pretty raw his first two years, but Beal doesn't have the feel for the game that Wall had at the same point. Wall was the #1 pick though, that's very different from being #3. Wall was the stud of his class and came with a truly rare feel for the game.

The NBA is a thinking man's game and Beal doesn't have the cushion of low expectations that Wall did his first two years. There we were just looking for flashes of positives because we knew the team wasn't capable of winning. Now we're expecting our players to play good, mistake free basketball and win. Gonna be a while before Beal gets there.
