Agree with this. The Wizards should have identified his faults early (then they would have skipped drafting him) and sent him the the D-League with a coaching assistant for most of his first couple of years. At a minimum he would have been more a useful basketball players....perhaps.
Yeah, can't blame them for not being able to identify his faults considering those faults were well on display when he was drafted.
Question is, how do you draft a 21 yr old professional with years of overseas experience who has ZERO skill level? How is that not a red flag to anyone involved? Who in the world in the front office actually believed the guy was the next Kirilenko and could create mismatches because of length, athleticism and ability to post up smaller players?
Seriously, how does anyone still have a job after a f*ck up like that, especially when they scouted the kid for years and would likely chosen him in 2010 had he came out as expected and had the Wizards not won the lottery?
