JJ would have been a nice option for Carolina. Glad he went to Oakland though since Carolina could be a contender.

i actually think too much is being made about the panthers wr situation. Smith was old and not the player he used to be and everyone else they had there last yr was just a guy or flat out sucked. If they draft a couple of guys relatively early then find a couple bargain free agents they will probably be better than they were at wr last yr.

I get that they don't have anyone with experience currently on the roster but it's only march and it's not like they let Cobb Nelson jones and Boykin leave.

Yeah. Smith was having an OK season until he got hurt. He still is very quick off the line but he's not as explosive as he used to be. He still can get you 1,000 yards. He's physical and never afraid. But that speed is waning.

Then again I thought he was slowing down in 2010 and then he balled out in 2011 and 2012.

It's a big loss because the Panthers now have no WRs and they lost a leader in that locker room. Jordan Gross also retired. I feel bad for Cam Newton, it seems like they're setting him up to fail with the lack of weapons.

Their defense should still be good.

Schneider must have taken note of TT's signing.

Seattle is the team I think is most likely to win back-to-back in quite some time. The Packers were actually pretty well set up after their last Super Bowl as well, but they (obviously) fell short.

If Seattle can continue to keep their guys healthy that defense should be just as, if not more imposing than last year. A lot of it will continue to ride on Wilson's development and if Lynch doesn't start to break down.

Should be interesting.

Looks like Allen left Seattle without a contract, and says he's planning on using the weekend to decide/get a better offer elsewhere.

Bengals signed OT Marshall Newhouse, formerly of the Packers.

So we've lost MD Jennings, Newhouse, and EDS. The first two, I can't believe any team in the league would have taken them. EDS is a guy who I feel like is just that -- a guy.

Meanwhile, we've kept Shields, Neal, Raji, Starks; the people that we should have been keeping. This offseason hasn't been bad at all.

MD Jennings is ridiculous. He can cover pretty good. He just has absolutely no ball skills.

Sounds like he's getting a win-now mandate from Davis. I don't think Schaub is going to help that, but I wonder if that's a directive from up top.

Sanchez officially out in ny. If he would be willing to take a vet min and compete for the number 2 job id be all for bringing him in to go against tolzien in camp.

Vick to the Jets. There's going to be a lot of pressure on Geno Smith this year.

Nice if we play the Panthers in the playoffs and Newton is injured we can play Webb at QB and get our second playoff win since 2010. ;P

They should move Webb to WR, might be the #1 guy.
