Wall has been playing pretty well lately, but he has to start cutting down on his turnovers. He has been way to careless with the ball lately.

With regard to Beal, I don't have any confidence in him making any shots other than wide open threes.

Another game from Webster where he disappeared. I don't know if his back has been hurting this season, but he certainly is not the same player as he was last year. In fact, I would say that he has been the most disappointing Wizard this season.

Good thing the Wiz played a pretty bad team tonight or they would have been in serious trouble.

Man, Nash was killing them by getting the Lakers to fast break.

Then Lakers pulled Nash near the end. They didnt really want to win this.

Beal looked great his first three 3 balls. Why ? Feet set and catch and shoot. He is bad off the dribble.

Gooden just keeps producing. And I laughed my ass of that he wouldn't give Beal the ball on that stupid two man game. He was like, hell no, and passes it cross court to the corner. LOL

AH looked better but he couldnt get back on D so he gave up as much as the gave. Again, when teams run us, we have to go to one or more of younger faster players... Temple, Otto, Kevin S... Something.

Trevor A has been great when Wall gets him open looks. But he is horrible off the dribble. Not sure why after all these years but it is what it is.

I think more teams will be smarter regarding offering him to much. He is a player that is very reliant on being in the right offense with other floor spaced and a good passing PG. Walls skip passes have a ton to do with how well he is hitting the 3 this year.

I have no idea, we had the ball when the fouls were called, plus both teams had a flagrant 2. Except the Lakers had an extra tech from Nick young so how the hell do they get the ball?

Jordan Hill- 2 technical fouls
Nick Young- 1 technical foul
Drew Gooden- Flagrant 2 foul and a technical foul

Therefore, the Wizards shot 2 free throws since the Lakers had 2 more technical fouls. Since Gooden got a flagrant 2, the Lakers got to shoot 2 free throws.

Not really sure why Gooden got called for a flagrant 2 foul. At least it didn't cost the Wizards a victory.

I just don't understand how Young doesn't get ejected in that scenario. He and Gooden locked elbows. Neither guy was willing to unbend their elbow to break the lock so Gooden yanked his arm away. If it stopped right there, it probably should have been a double technical or a double Flagrant 1. Or maybe even Gooden gets a Flagrant 2 and Young a Flagrant 1. But then Young retaliated. His retaliation was the most intentional act of all. And it was a head shot at Gooden while good was sitting down and vulnerable. Easily a Flagrant 2.

I also don't think Hill did anything wrong. He saw Gortat move aggressively toward the scrum, so he aggressively pushed Gortat away without ever throwing a punch. He calmed down as soon as Gortat made it clear that he wasn't trying to instigate anything either.

The bottom line was that Young's actions were at least as bad if not worse than Gooden's. There should have been no change of possession and Young should have been ejected if Gooden was.

I think what the real problem was - Gooden was mauled on the previous LA possession, and nothing was called. That put him on tilt and was why he was so aggressive with Young. I didn't see a good enough replay, but my guess is the officials did - and saw Gooden instigate the lockdown with Young - that's the only explanation I could come up with as to why he got called for la fragrant and a tech - I actually didn't see Gooden do anything particularly wrong - but ya gotta figure the officials had a better replay.

Agreed that tossing Hill instead of Young made no sense. Maybe Hill said something, but it looked like he was there to stop an escalation.

Oh, and the game - worst defensive performance of the season but we won. Gooden and Harrington together are amazingly bad on D. Wall was real good and had his way against terrible defenders.

If Nash played more minutes, this game would have been a lot closer. He had the Lakers looking much more fluid offensively. He still has game. Just unfortunate he can't stay healthy with that nerve issue in his leg.
