Stephen Drew would sign one year deal with Tigers?

Okay, so Iglesias is out, this make sense, but I wonder if the Jays have even approached him, or is the $14m AA has to spend going into Montecristos in a gold-plated humidor for Beeston?

Probably Jays policy to not do business with Scott Boras. Add it to the list of organizational rules set in place that factors us out of being winners.

We're building around Goins.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Tigers will probably be all over him for a 1-year deal.

And we'll just stick with AAA/bench type player @ 2b.

Just goes to show how close-minded and uncreative this entire front office is. Boras fails just as much as he cashes in (ok, maybe an exaggeration, but it's not like he always schools other GMs), and as long as your front office is smart enough to stay away from dumb decisions, it really shouldn't be a concern.

Drew is garbage. And the tigers not willing to give up 14 mill and a draft pick at a position they are truly desperate at proves it. No way I want this guy near the jays

Interesting that he hasn't taken the offer already.

If it's true (and it's a big if, because Boras), it's because he's hell-bent to get that opt-out after the first year, which he has been demanding from the start. Why he's so stuck on it, when even another good-to-great season won't take Drew much above that $13m AAV, I dunno.

Zero chance he has that offer on the table. That's about the best offer Stephen Drew is going to get and he would have taken it by now.

Boras has proven this offseason he is a scumbag. Scherzer just turned down top 6 pitcher money. While I don't think the jays apprehension to deal with Boras is the smartest thing, I can see why they have those negative views
