nothing is guaranteed. we're not winning with the way we're playing right now. point is we're not playing our best basketball at a time where we should be. the playoffs are right around the corner.

Indy is playing worse than we are lol.

It's a cake walk to the finals for us.

Like I said, we will all be laughing at these overreaction posts in a couple of months.

My concern isnt the east...anymore..

I just fear us having to play San Antonio with home court..

To be honest. We are lucky that we play in the East. We have the luxury to take our time in finding our rhythm.

Not sure I want the #1 seed....as long as the Bulls are a 4/5. If they are a 3/6 seed...then yea I want it.

No, this isnt because the Bulls can beat us. Its because the Bulls are annoying and do a good job of draining us.

See the Mavs series after the Conference Finals....see the Pacers series last year.

Give me Charlotte in the 1st round and the Wizards/Raptors in the 2nd round. And then go beat the Pacers in 6 games..

Figure how to 3 peat in the Finals.

Listen, I'm not denying that the Heat flat out suck right now, but looking at some of the people posting here right now, I would love to see how y'all would react in 07-08 gamethreads

Back when he had this 8 game winning streak everyone was roses. Now their thorns.

Matched up with a weak frontcourt guess what, he dominated.

You're quoting stats over 8 games.

We have Lebron, against a weak assed losing team. Lebron should be the best player on the court and Bosh should've been the second best.

So what "we have LeBron", is he gonna cover up every deficiency this team has been struggling with during this stretch. He's playing while hurt and had a decent game for his standards. And "we have Bosh", what does that mean? Anthony Davis is playing better than Bosh and can be considered a better player right now. It doesn't matter what ranking Bosh should be on the floor he should be producing better regardless.

whoooosh

you missed the point.

I said Davis was the best player on the court.

You said it's not a surprise because he's played well for 8 games.

It should be a surprise. Lebron should be the best player on the court.

He wasn't. Bron has to re-find his snazz because he hasn't had it for some time.

The 61 point game was a sign of how he's playing lately. No team work, no trust. And since then he hasn't been good enough to win on his own. If he needs to ball some players out then do it but I think he needs a mental adjustment. Get back to leading with some defense and keeping the trust flowing. Feeding the hot hand and not settling for jumpers.

He's no MVP at the moment and he'll need to be come the playoffs.

I know that you guys do not like to hear the team bitch since it hasn't improved their play on the court as of yet, but at least now we know a few things that we did not before. Nobody seems to be taking accountability for their recent slumps and terrible body language. They seem (again, only as an outsider looking in) to have finally been caught up in all of the endorsements/2x champion branding this season. On the court, I have a feeling that the older guys know that they are older and will probably not be able to produce as well as last year (thinking about how frustrated battier prolly gets having to guard the David Wests of the world every game, and how as a result of that he probably doesn't have the legs to hit an open shot, or with how hard Cole has hit the wall).

I saw someone in here say how this shows that their is cracks in their brotherhood. I think the opposite might be a possibility. Maybe they have such a tight brotherhood that they afraid to hold each other accountable?

I am not a psychologist so I am just talking out of my ass. Just my 2 cents. I have faith that these issues wl be resolved in due time.

Hmm...I believe at this point it really doesn't matter unless we are REALLY going to face the Pacers in the post-season. Second seed or First seed, reason why I'm saying it wouldn't matter because if playoffs were to start tomorrow. Our cards will be played out really well and I like our chances going on the road against them despite the fact how poorly this team is looking at the moment. At this point, the Bulls and Nets will be meeting in the first round and who ever wins that will get Pacers in the second round which be self-destructing. I understand we will have the advantage though if we get the first seed in the East until the ECFs but I doubt we will have the best record in the league going into the Finals.

The problem at this moment, there's no guarantee of what I just posted. So...we will have to wait and see what plays out to determine the outcomes. Which sucks.

Never seen a team handle internal problems better than this Miami Heat team. We'll be fine.

couple of things i noticed... he is talking about the team being disconected wich meens the brotherhood is not strong like it was, then exceuses about his injuries ( call me crazy but he was reffering to wade in my opinion as he himself is playing thru injuries )

On top of that Bosh who is the only guy who speaks directly and doesnt hide anything basically says there are some legit issues in the locker room...

This doesnt look good folks, we have legit issues as the playoffs are nearing...

This season ( so far ) has been a complete and total failure...

From Amnesty, free agents, to buyouts to playing...

its not to late yet but the clock is ticking they better snap out of it and soon

You're reading too much into it and being far too overdramatic. LeBron is frustrated as f***, when you're a competitor and lose, this is how you're gonna react. I like this interview, he's finally angry, Bosh is angry, I f***ing hope Wade is too. For weeks, we've had so many inconsistencies from every player on this team and there's always been an explanation, an excuse, but now it's time to step it up, no matter what. They're putting pressure on themselves, knowing the playoffs are near and there's nothing better for us.

He's no MVP at the moment and he'll need to be come the playoffs.

A baffling analysis, since that's the exact OPPOSITE of how Lebron's played the last 3ish weeks. He's been far too passive, not looking for his own shot or looking to penetrate and create easy shots for his teammates - he's been content to stand around and let others make plays. Why this is, is probably a combination of factors (fatigue, back spasms and other minor injuries, cold streak with jumper, etc.) but it's definitely not because he's been playing selfish ball.

And expecting Lebron to be the best player on the floor every single night of the season is ridiculous, especially when you're playing against a guy with a 27 PER. Nobody in the history of the game ever has, or ever will be the best player in all 82 games of a regular season. Lebron probably should've been more aggressive looking for his own shot last night, but the bigger problem, by far, was the team's defense.

I think most of you are completely overreacting to this recent stretch. It was only 3 weeks ago that the Heat finished up a stretch winning 11 of 12 and looked easily like the best team in the league. All great teams (with EXTREMELY few exceptions, like the '96 Bulls or '67 Sixers) go through slumps and bad stretches, ESPECIALLY the Miami Heat of the last 4 seasons. They've gone through similarly terrible stretches before and came out looking just fine - in 2011, they lost 7 of 11 in March and ended up just fine (they lost the Finals of course, but that was for other reasons). The problem has been compounded this season because of the constant, unending lineup changes - Wade's constantly in and out, Battier has been benched, Oden's now a starter, the Michael Beasley saga, etc. etc. Not to say that they haven't had erratic lineups before this season, but it's been much worse this year. This is a problem that will cease to exist in the playoffs.

THERMOSTAT

The Heat used their 18th different starting lineup of the season Saturday, with LeBron James, Mario Chalmers, Toney Douglas, Udonis Haslem and Chris Bosh opening. Miami used 15 different groups of starters all of last season.

Wade injured his ankle, no wonder he's sucked the past 2 games.

Return to Miami Heat
