Jabari Parker: College Career 'Incomplete'

Duke was eliminated in the first round of the NCAA Tournament by Mercer.

Jabari Parker said after the game that his college career is "incomplete" and indicated that it could impact his decision on whether to return to Duke for his sophomore season.

Parker is widely expected to be a top pick in the NBA Draft whenever he declares.

So long, Lakers 8-)

Kind of hoping he doesn't come out.

I wish a lot of the top prospects don't come out this season so that the Laker fans can really go suck it. Extremely tired of hearing how they are already going to build their next dynasty with whatever rookie they pick.

2014 Draft Thread: March Madness Edition!

Parker will come out. It would be dumb not to; if you're good you have to get to that second contract as soon as you can. Every agent should use macus smart as a perfect example why it's crazy to come back: Exum is the dude to worry about with the lakers. He wants to play there and there's a very real chance he's there's when the lakers pick like 3-4. He could be a bust or he could be the best player in the draft; the upside is a healthy penny hardaway.

To me he's the 3rd most intriguing player in the draft after wiggins who I would take 1 and not think twice (omg would he be good in the horny o) and Embid 2 who could be great if his back holds up. To me he's a better prospect than Parker.

I have a feeling Parker will stay at Duke for a soph year while Embiid will declare for the upcoming draft.

And I agree with WeekGroove, Exum is a Laker guy if they miss out on Wiggins.

I hope Wiggins winds up in Philly. I don't want to see the kid four times a year in our division. He's going to be an all NBA defender one day & his offense it's going to come sooner than later. Esp if his homie Nash is still on the Lakers & Kobe is there to teach him? Do not want.

This draft is going to be great for the Lakers no matter what. I just hope that next year, it's the Kobe-tries-to-score-50 show, which would just about guarantee a late-lotto pick, even if the guy the draft is Magic Barkley.

Absolutely.

I want Wiggins to end up in Milwaukee because they do not blatantly tank like Sixers. They are just horrible even though their poor management tried to make a playoff team with all those bad contracts last summer.

I used to want all the top candidates to end up in the east (and still do) but Wiggins only scored 4 points today in a loss to Stanford. He certainly doesn't have that killer instinct and will mostly rely on his defense, at least for awhile.

I honestly don't think the top of this draft class is going to end up being nearly as good as expected. Embiid has a good chance of being a stud, and Parker will be pretty good as will Wiggins, but I think the only one who has a good chance of being a big time game changer is Embiid.

At least for awhile. Wiggins may turn into Paul George in 4-5 years, but he's not going to transform a team overnight.

You'd think if these guys were going to be serious impact players Jabari Parker could have led Duke past Mercer in the first round and Wiggins could have at least carried Kansas against Stanford. It's not like these guys are playing with scrubs either. They still are surrounded by some of the best recruits in the country.

Kyle Anderson is growing on me as of late. Lets see if he brings it in the tourney. I picked UCLA to take out Florida in my bracket. Of course they have to get by Stephen F Austin first.

Wiggins definitely has some holes on his offensive game. To me he's a guy who needs to end up in a running system with a good point guard to fully realize his potential.

Of the bad teams philly might be the best fit if mcw continues to develop. The best possible destination for him of any team that could end up In the lottery is Phoenix; he would be awesome in our system.

Julius Randle has impressed me more as of late. I didn't realize he was such a good passer.

I'm a little higher on Gordon than I was too. He seems to be stepping up more. Gordon tonight 18, 6, 6 and 4 steals on 80% shooting.

I am still high on Rondae Hollis Jefferson if he comes out, maybe with the Indy pick. And Jordan Adams in the second round with our pick.

That might not be such a good thing considering Wiggins hype and how George's played in 2014.

George is averaging nearly 22/7/4 this year. His fg% doesn't concern me since he's busting his ass on D.

He hasn't been that great on D lately either.

Yeah, he'll be a stud, but he will probably go top 7 or 8 (at worst), so we have little to zero chance of getting him. We likely can't package picks to move up that far.

If we make the playoffs, we can probably get this guy in the early 20s. If not, definitely with our 2nd pick, if we don't go PF with first one. He's probably more ready to contribute than others too.

My 3 in our range our

1.Gordon
2.Anderson/Hood

I think Gordon can replace Tucker as a defensive stopper at SF while being able to hit the occasional corner three. He is also taller and more athletic.

I highly doubt Gordon will be in our range.

I am willing to make trades to move up in any way possible. Just don't see drafting anyone better than Markieff after the fifteenth pick or so. Its not about getting certain players, its about improving our starting rotation. This offseason could be success with the addition of one star-caliber player and nothing else.
