Official March Madness Thread

Post#1 » by TGW » Tue Mar 25, 2014 2:00 am

Surprised there hasn't been one yet.

My bracket is completely busted. But I don't care because Duke got owned.

This is turning out to be an epic tournament!

It looks like there are only 9(3 on Kentucky and 2 on Michigan St) 1st round prospects according to Draft Express still playing.

I had Syracuse and Duke in the Final Four.

So yeah, my bracket got busted pretty fast.

A shame because the rest of my bracket is actually pretty solid.

Don't really care who wins it all now. I'm not a UVa fan though, so F them.

It comes down to UCLA for me. I'm the only 1 in my 45 team league to pick them to win it all - and only 1 other team has them even in the final 4.

I got 11 teams left in a few brackets and all of my final four teams (Florida, Mich St, Wisconsin & Louisville). I was actually in the 99.9% on ESPN until Sunday when my bracket got destroyed lol.

First round I was killing 'em. 29-3 in one bracket, 28-4 in another. Probably the best first round I ever had.

Like most everyone else, my bracket is pretty much toast.

Had Wichita State making a run to the Sweet 16. Also had Syracuse going further than they did.

Strangely though, I have 9 Sweet 16 teams left, and my entire Final Four is still alive. Maybe I can make a late run at my office pool!

This kid for San Diego State is pretty good--Xavier Thames. His shooting percentages aren't great, and he's not really a truepoint guard, but he can create his own shot and he plays good defense. This dude Josh Davis is also a helluva rebounder.

Both could help the Wizards.

Throw your money at the spreads. Much more interesting. Much less profitable.

TGW- I was also watching Thames closely. Seems to be able to get free against most similar sized players. Small for a 2G. Good handles and a good defender.

I think the big problem with his NBA prospects is that he is 23 years old. If he was 21, he might be able to play in Europe for a couple years, develop a 3 point shot and have a shot at making the NBA. He probably is good enough to have a career in Europe or China.
