I've seen him play enough now to say what he is.

He's a 6'8 soft inconsistent chucker from the outside.

FG .544 3P% .312 does not really indicate an "inconsistent chucker"
Yeah, his 3P% could use some work. Overall he's good though.

Is he 50% EVERY GAME???? Seems like a 11-13 player one night then a 1-12 the next.

Also with his size and ability he should put some more muscle on and post up EVERY TIME. He should be shooting 60% everygame and scoring 20 ppg every night all in the low block area.

This should be EASY with Howard on the other side drawing the defense he does. Jones would have one on one every play.

TJones doesn't really have much of a post game. I like him in the high post in our offense. He rolls quite well, knows how to pick his spots and rotate to the open space. Inconsistency on defense is his issue.

So I did some variability calculations:
PPG: 11.82 +/- 5.97
FG%: .52 +/- .17
3P%: .30 +/- .3 (he makes .45 out of 1.43, with 3PA var = .6 and 3PM var = 1.03)
FT%: .58 +/- .38
TRB: 7 +/- 3.13
STL: .6 +/- .69

As a side note, lower frequency stats naturally have higher variability.

I calculated the variability by first getting taking his averages, subtracting those from his per game stats, and taking the absolute value. I then averaged the differences together.
I don't know what an average power forward's variability is. Or player's, for that matter.

Well considering we literally run nothing for TJones I'd imagine the volatility in his offensive stats is quite large but that's just a guess.

Let's not forget Jones has only just started his NBA career.
