The swiss will win the group, france will try to go out early, but Honduras bring very little to the table while ecuador are a tough team who should be outclassed by france.

I love this Honduras squad. With little-to-no actual talent on the team, they find ways to win games. With that said, if they finish with 3 points it should be considered a success.

I like this France squad also...I believe they finish first with the Swiss second

Depending on how good Ecuador is will determine what team will finish second.

I feel like Switzerland is a very overrated team. If ecuador is a bit good team, they shouldn't have a problem to finish second. France will win this.

Ecuador is not one bit good though. Idk if people here have watched them recently but in their recent friendlys and in qualifications they looks pretty bad imo. France and Switzerland advance easily. One of the easier groups to pick who moves forward.

it would be a big blow to France if Ribery can't play.

French soccer team wants to erase embarrassment of 2010 World Cup

Once upon a time the French were as good at soccer as any country in the world.

Between 1998 and 2006, France won one World Cup and made the final of another. It won consecutive Confederations Cups and captured a Euro title. At one point it was champion of the three most important international tournaments in the sport.

French Coach Didier Deschamps not only remembers those times, he was partly responsible for them, captaining the team to the World Cup title in 1998 on its home soil and helping it win the European championship two years later.

His job now is to recapture that glory and erase the embarrassment of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, when a mutiny against Coach Raymond Domenech was the only sign of unity on a winless French team that finished last in its group.

Yet heading into this month's World Cup in Brazil, Deschamps' start has been uneven at best.

This should be rather easy for the French and Swiss to advance. I don't see Honduras or Ecuador putting up much of a fight.

I agree. It would be a disaster for either team not to move forward.

I really think the Swiss could make a push in this group.

He could just mean generally being there for his first WC match but it looks like Griezmann will be starting today. Excited to watch Les Bleus.
