The New York Knicks' eight-game winning streak just came to an end. They might need another one if they're going to have a shot at catching Atlanta for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

A new run will have to begin away from home against their former coach Tuesday night, when the Knicks open a five-game trip looking to end a six-game road skid against the Los Angeles Lakers.

While Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni will be facing his former team for the fourth time, it will be the Knicks' first game against the Lakers since bringing former Los Angeles coach Phil Jackson on as team president. Jackson reportedly won't attend the game.

I heard PJ won't be in the house today which kinda sucks. I was hoping for a "we want phil" chant to take over the building, you know, just for **** and giggles

^ well when your main horses are all 35+ yrs old you can expect injuries to play a role.

I was planning on watching this game at work under the assumption Phil would be in attendance, but eh.. never mind. I will just stick to tuning in and out to the radio broadcast of the game.

Knicks should be hungry to win this one. Gasol isn't supposed to play in this one so I would think that the Knicks take advantage of this.

I love these types of games......gotta chance to stick a machete through the heart of the Knicks playoff dreams.

u want the knicks to make the POs, their pick goes to denver and the worst of denver/NY's pick goes to orlando

so, if the knicks make the POs, orlando gets a #15 pick instead of a #12 pick and denver gets a #13 pick instead of a #10 pick

Refs with the unnecessary long video reviews to keep people from turning the channel when the Lakers/Knicks game comes on
