Both teams are tough.

However, I'd rather face the Spurs because:

-They are old. Therefore they have a higher chance of breaking down and being tired.
-I think we match up well with them (especially with Bledsoe on Parker)
-If we somehow WIN, it would be ohhhhhh-sooooo-sweet revenge for all the times they beat us.

Spurs in the first round.

Warriors in the second round.

Whoever in the WCF.

Pacers in the finals.

Spurs.

The Basketball Gods would definitely be on our side.....after the "Suspensions", after Horry knocked out Nash, after the career of Bruce Bowen, after Timmy hit that 3 all those years ago? How could they not be? I've grown to respect Tim Duncan and Pop and the whole Spurs organization and was definitely rooting for him to win against the primadonna's in South Beach, but against us? We'd unleash the Dragon on them and send Timmy retiring. I also think we match-up well against them.

OKC is an entirely different beast. Once they start clicking with Westbrook again, no one is beating them.

It's only fair that Memphis faces OKC and the Suns face the Spurs.

I wonder who those teams would rather face? I'm guessing they'd probably rather face us than the Grizzlies? I'd love for the Grizzlies to move up to 6 and Houston to move up 3. That would be an interesting matchup to watch. Warriors/Thunder would be pretty fun to watch too.

I'm pretty confident the Spurs would rather face the Grizzlies than us when you take last year's 4 game sweep into consideration. Memphis barely bothered them at all for some reason.

I'd rather face the Thunder, we matchup better against em and their athletes.

We're 1-1 agaisnt OKC and 1-2 against the Spurs. Bledsoe and Tucker are our best defenders and good defensive matchups for Westbrook/Durant. The Spurs are a lot craftier, more versatile in terms of offensive threats, and harder to defend for us. Plus Westbrook is having an injury ravaged season, not at the top of his game.

I guess that's true. Kind of odd it's the same team that knocked the Spurs off when they were an 8 seed and the Spurs were a 1 seed.

The odds are against us either way but id rather see the spurs just because of the rivalry and because if our young guys are going to learn from anyone about the playoffs there is no one better than pop and the spurs

I was just wondering if everyone thinks we should be gunning for the 7th or 8th spot. I never said we'd make it for certain but looking ahead where would we have the best chance to get in the second round?

Thunder easily.

OKC blows at guarding the 3pt line and they aren't good rebounding wise either. Perfect matchup for us.

Thunder..
We have a better shot at Westbrook shooting them out of games

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

Suns don't have a chance vs the Thunder. You guys really underestimating that team. Kevin Durant is just too good. Ibaka will make Morris, Frye and Plumlee disappear. Westbrook gets it going and they will beat anyone easily. Suns have competed well with them this season but don't see it going in the playoffs.

That series will go to 5 maybe.

If the Suns can get in, I'd rather play the Spurs. San Antonio is the best in the West, and probably headed for a rematch with the Heat. I think it would be really cool if these young/growing Suns could give it a go with the creme of the NBA...Pop and the big three of the Spurs. A can't lose scenario.
