Reggie McKenzie said that Terrelle Pryor is going to be cut or released.

I actually thought he was pretty electric at points last year. Don't know what he's thinking.

Granted I have no idea what he's like behind the scenes, but on talent alone I'd love for the Packers to pick up Pryor.

Only way I take Pryor is if he is willing to change positions to TE or WR.

Field Yates ‏@FieldYates 3m
Jared Allen goes from one NFC North team to another, inking a four-year deal with the Bears.

Must be one hell of a deal to pass up signing with Seattle.

Sounds like Allen got 4 years, $32 million with $15.5 guaranteed. Sounds like the first two years are fully guaranteed and there is some sort of clause where either him or the team can "void" the final year of the deal and it becomes a 3 year, $28 million dollar deal instead.

The void part I'm unsure about though.

Did the Bears really prefer Allen to Peppers?

Allen on his new deal is significantly cheaper than Peppers would have been.

Yeah. If Peppers cap hit with the Bears was what it currently is with the Packers, they would've kept Peppers for sure. The problem was that Peppers was due to make $18 million with the Bears this year. He's not even on the Bears now and his cap hit is still over $9 million. That's absurd.

I think they're both pretty similar players at this point in each of their careers. But, in typical Bears fashion, most fans think that they're in the Super Bowl already.

That's slightly annoying, I wish he would've signed elsewhere.

I've always hated Allen and always wished he was on our team. His play has declined, we'll see what happens with a chance of scenery. That's quite a bit of money, along with the $8 million cap hit they have for Peppers this year.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Apparently playoff expansion is coming, possibly as early as this upcoming season.

How terrible. Soon the NFL will be like the NBA where making the playoffs isn't even an accomplishment anymore. :(

I think I'd rather see him on the Bears than the Seahawks. The Bears really don't scare me. And maybe I have poor memory, but did Allen really even cause us trouble last year on the Vikes?

No, we handled him pretty well for like the first time ever. He did still have 11.5 sacks last year though.

It took him over 1000 snaps to get those 11.5 sacks. He also missed 8 tackles. On the whole it is decent, but on a per snap basis he was average. If they can keep him fresh, very unlikely give Peppers numbers last season, he could do some damage.

And then the Packers can continually chase that 8th seed

Sounds like Ray Rice got indicted for aggravated assault. Could be 3-5 years in jail.

Rice screamed out he was a d-bag back when he played us and ripped the city of Green Bay.
