Kirilenko is out, Marcus Thornton game time decision. Williams sick and not at shoot around.

by the way, Fats or any of the other heads that have been around for longer, what do you remember about Anderson's stint with us? was he a fan favorite with his streaky shooting or unbearable because of it?

nice pick on the good luck charm.

anderson's stint with us was mostly vanilla. he wasnt nearly as good back then as he is now... or at least he never showed it. i do remember there being some intrigue due to his size and strength for his position. i was kinda surprised we didnt bring him back the next year. he was overshadowed that year by matt carroll. of course we all hated kareem rush so much that anything else at shooting guard was exciting. also, that was the year jumaine jones went nuts in jan and feb averaging over 15ppg. last but not least was the felton vs knight debates that consumed the board that year. there has never been a hotter debate in the history of this board. nothing compares to the knight vs felton outrage.

haha, so I've heard. I can imagine that some argued that Felton deserves to be the lone ball handler so he could improve and some argued that the chubby Felton won't pan out and Knight deserves the PT because of his solid play, right?

basically yes. some of us (me included) wanted felton to be the lone point guard and not stuck at shooting guard next to brevin. felton had a monster game early in his career vs the cavs where he looked like a young dwade. it gave all of us felton supporters false hope. knight was a very ball dominate guard. he racked up a ton of assists, but did it by holding the ball for 19 seconds and only passing when a shooter was open. knight also had a bad hero complex where he would pull up for jumpers on 3-1 fast breaks and always try to take shots in close games. it just made sense to me at the time to hand the reigns over to felton. but that was never going to happen with knight on the roster. to make matters worse, there were a lot of UNC homers that came on the board at that time and propped felton up like he was a god.

on the other side you had guys who could care less about UNC or college and you also UNC haters that didnt think felton had earned the starting job. and statistically it was hard to argue with what knight did the previous season.

it was a brutal time. every single thread turned into felton vs knight.

I hope this means CDR at the 2 and Tolly at the 3. Really want to see Tolliver knock down three or four threes.

No Gary Neal is a good thing if it means Tolliver gets rotation minutes again.

I think Fats or someone mentioned that the game would be on a different channel on Direct Tv tonight. Anyone know what channel or is it the same?
