So, why isn't Granger starting? His defense isn't bad, he plays pretty a pretty fundamental style of basketball, and he provides a really nice scoring punch with a good shooting range. Would give Paul and Blake more room to operate, and his shot is getting consistent, which would make him a good 3rd option.
What do you guys think?

Starting Granger?
"I’ve seen a guy that played for the Pacers, gave them everything they had, or everything he had, and was essentially traded to the dogs. And I’m speaking on Danny Granger, who was one of the better players in Pacers history"

Re: Starting Granger?
I don't think his body can handle playing 30-35 minutes a game. I think that is the major reason why. Yes, he has played well in limited minutes- but I have noticed that if those limited minutes become a bit too long, his effectiveness begins to wane

yes yes yes.
sit the cripple-kneed Granger on the bench, give us his "best" 15 minutes every game to be productive rather than give us a watered down 30 minutes and the eventual visit to IR. there were many articles about Granger's knees earlier this year, and his performance had been greatly reduced when played too many minutes with us too.
besides, we need a legitimate offensive threat out of that bench unit, and having a defensive ace to be that guy in our second unit doesn't hurt at all.
ehhhhh f it.

Re: Starting Granger?
The original plan was for him to come off of the bench and possibly play himself into a starting role. As previously mentioned, Barnes has been pretty good since the threat of being traded away has been removed.
Granger is still trying to come into his own. He's looking better, but he has to get to the point where he still has something left in the tank in the 2nd half of games. I don't mind him with the 2nd unit. We're still a little banged up, but getting healthier. Once everyone is good to go, that 2nd unit is going to be lethal as well.

Re: Starting Granger?
Limited play time good for Danny . Don't need him to get hurt.
Once craw finds his touch would be nice 1-2punch offensively to make up no offense big baby.
Also Barnes been playing really good as staters . 13-15points few 3s good d is what we need from starting sf:)

I have been really pleased to see both Barnes and Granger playing better than expected, especially from 3.

Granger seems to be close to ready for the starting spot. Would love the shots Barnes has to go to Granger.

Re: Starting Granger?
If Granger can get completely healthy and consistently fit we're probably gonna use a lot a line up with both Barnes and him, and Blake and DJ inside. That can be complete nightmare for opposing offenses. Both Granger and Barnes are long and quick and can defend most SG's.

Re: Starting Granger?
Unless there is a switch after the road trip when Granger is healthy I doubt it happens now. He seems to be struggling away from home outside of the Golden State game. Any start created could be just because the bench seems to be fitting poorly since the return of Crawford and we need Barnes who fits better.
