I was surprised when they let go both Lamela and Osvaldo, but it has worked out for them, no?...who woulda thought Gervinho would find such form? and they got young guys in Destro, Strootman, and Llajic; Benatia and Nainggolan were great purchases as well...I think they'll be good for a while as long as Rudi stays coach.

Fiorentina did well to get Rossi and Gomez but injuries foiled their plan. They also have an amazing coach in Montella, so this summer will be huge for them (they must keep Cuadrado or strengthen the squad with his transfer $$$)

Napoli this past summer raided Real Madrid (Higuain, Callejon, Albiol) and in Jan got two defenders who I've been impressed with so far in Ghoulam and Henrique.

It is good to see that these teams who supposedly have no money have been able to strengthen their squads regardless.

juve are going to win the scudetto and have a nice team going forward with legit young stars.

milan wont be in the champions league or likely any European competition next season and are completely lost. if balotelli leaves then they are seriously fuked.

juve definitely get the last laugh, milan is about to be irrelevant unless things change quickly.

Milan will return into relevancy after Silvio sells the club.

There are definitely billionaires out there willing to take over Milan, it's just a matter of when Silvio calls it quits.
Unfortunately, Milan is pretty much the only thing Silvio has left, so I don't see this happening "easily".

All in all, as a Milan fan, I've seen both good and bad times, there will be good times, gotta see these 3-4 years through.

the future is bright with talks of a new stadium:
http://football-italia.net/46477/milan- ... ry-stadium
Milan are reportedly lining up plans for a new 55,000-seater stadium with revolutionary acoustics.

The Rossoneri are pushing through the project after formalising their interest for the Expo area of the city.

According to reports, the stadium will seat 55,000 and architects have planned an innovative structure that will make the acoustics much stronger than regular stadiums.

There will be panels to raise the sound towards the rafters and make the atmosphere extraordinary.

The cost of the project could require foreign investors and naming rights.

Milan... Ugh.

EDIT: Adil Rami pulls one back. Let's see if they can get some momentum going now.

blatantly obvious handball i the box did NOT get called for Juve to get a pk. 30 seconds later Genoa gets a pk for the same offense.

Buffon blocks the pk :D

edit: 1-0 thanks to Pirlo's free kick

controversy on Higuain's last minute winner vs Torino.

Roma up 2-0 in the first half vs. Udinese.

and who in the world is better than Pirlo at free kicks? It's the only way he scores now days

Immobile is quite the striker. First professional hattrick today, and he just passed Tevez to be leading scorer of Serie A

Very silly error from Chievo's center back leads to a simple goal for Gervinho. Personal bias wants me to see Napoli finish 2nd but Roma won't let off.

Props to Verona. They got destroyed 5-0 today and are still 15 points ahead of Milan.
With only two wins in their last 11 games, they obviously have not updated their objective from the beginning of the season, which was survival. They seem to be happily coasting along knowing that they have been safe from relegation, and i totally admire their current mediocrity :)

More seriously, props to Parma for extending their unbeaten streak to 17 games in a row. Forza Cassano

Fiorentina have terrible injury luck this season. Gomez out another 4 weeks.

what a shame. I think if Gomez and Rossi were healthy for even half the season, they would probably be in champions league next year over Napoli.

Tomorrow Parma travel to Juventus Stadium boasting a 17-match unbeaten run in Serie A, with their last defeat coming courtesy of a Paul Pogba strike at the Ennio Tardini. Juve's Serie A unbeaten streak is at 21 I believe

Oh man what a goal by Florenzi, really Torino were lucky to be in that game, Roma dominated. Florenzi has been inconsistent this year but that was very nice

Balotelli makes headlines by saying
“The person who was provoking me the most on the pitch, to be honest, was the referee,” Balotelli told reporters after the match. “I don’t understand why some referees in Italy just do not seek dialogue.

“Today’s referee would just not allow for dialogue -- I was booked because I told him that an opponent had touched the ball with his hand. He booked me saying I talk too much... I might talk too much, but it should be possible to have a dialogue -- I feel this situation is a little bit stupid.”

He is not the only player to say things like this, Borja Valero said it less than a week ago. In England, the refs gain much deserved respect from having more dialogue with the players. In Italy the refs are on some kind of power trip--it's getting out of hand.

Really disappointed that it looks like Roma are gonna fork out ~20mil for Iturbe. Id rather we'd spend that money on Shaqiri, for the same price as Iturbe we could get a better player with more potential imo.
