Less dominant but would come off looking better by comparison/versing the current crop of big men.

If Anthony Davis can put up 22 and 10, I'm not sure why people would think shaq couldn't put up his traditional 27 12 type of numbers?

Not the biggest Shaxpert, so calling on some help: what was his PnR defence like in his prime? Help D? Was he as hopeless on the perimeter as he was later in life when Andrea "I am a seven-year-old's idea of a good basketball player" Bargnani would force him to the bench?

A prime Shaq would destroy the opposition. I'm not a fan, but I realize that Orlando Shaq was unreal. He couldn't be stopped. LA Shaq got away with too much rough play. Orlando Shaq would destroy all comers.

He'd be better offensively. Prime Shaq as the clear #1 would average 32/14 over multiple seasons, especially if you put shooters around him so he'd get 1 on 1s. A team with prime Shaq would lead the league in 3s by a mile because they'd be wide open all the time.
He'd be worse defensively, possibly a LOT worse unless he somehow developed a Kobe-like work ethic and kept his weight around 275 or so, mostly because of his PR defense which is so much more important now than even in say, 2004.

The thought of prime Shaq on say the Warriors or the Spurs is disgusting
He would dominate are you kidding
Shaq was also a good passer out of the post, prolly the most under appreciated aspect of his game
